LOL. As they were intended to be!

Also, can someone explain to me why they had to say Marv's Parole officer was a lesbian... I mean.. I don't see how that adds anything to her character's motiviations and, since they used a rather... derogitory term to describe it, really all it does is to serve to make the women in the audiecne even more uncomfortable than they already are.

Rough city, rough language, rough character. And you took it roughly... again, I assume as intended to be.

Plus it embarrased the crap out of me, considering that it was me who reccomended seeing it to my dad. And he just had to bring his girlfriend and her son. Which only made it worse.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree with Bossk on that point. Sounds like an error in judgment there. That's like saying, 'Let's all go to a concert... I've never heard of this 'Marilyn Manson' but with a name like that she must be sweet. Get the kids ready."

Well that was pretty friggin' stupid now, wasn't it? Why would you recommend it sight unseen? Especially since you knew nothing about it?

Aye aye aye.

D'oh.

Her son is seventeen. That isn't what I meant. I had no idea my dad was going to bring his girlfriend, and she wouldn't have been there if we had seen it on Saturday like I thought we were. But my brother had to go to this pool party of some 'hot chick' he barely knew because he wanted to check out the other 'hot chicks'. So we ended up seeing it Sunday. Which sucked...

I almost panicked but held out hope it wouldn't be too bad. Of course... it was. It wasn't so much an error in judgement on my part as just a series of unforseen circumstances.

as far as i could understand...the reference to Marv's parole officer being a lesbian is not so much a chance to use derogatory words but more to reflect the way that Marv perceives and understands the world....

he is not an attractive man by any means, women do not find him attractive or even want to sleep with him, he justifies this by labelling them "condemning" them as lesbians to counter the challenges to his male ego....

well thats how i saw it

*Shrugs*

I guess that makes sense. Either way I would have preffered no line at all so I could have more thoroughly enjoyed the scene.

Now I want to kill Frodo...I mean, Elijah Wood...
Which is the more foolish, the fool (the OT) or the fool who follows (the PT)?

Why? I saw his credit but I don't remember seeing him. Whom did he play?

Uh, the cannibal that ate the prostitutes that was chopped up by Marv and was fed to his dog, all the while not making any sound.

That was Wood? Oh my gosh! Marv killed Frodo! That $*#%@%#*!!!!

Seriosly, I can never recognize him an any role where he is his normal hieght; I'm always looking for some really short guy. Except Back to the Future 2, but that is different because he *was* short in that.

I thought Elijah did a great Tobey Maguire impersonation for Sin City.

Many critics I have heard say that Elijah was one of the best parts of the film. Still have yet to see it.

Gundark Hunter, I've been telling people that for the past few weeks and usually get blank stares as if I'm crazy. I'm glad someone else has recognized that.

It's not hard to pick up. I seriously wonder if that was one of the directional instructions he got from RR.

Exactly, he didn't really do all that much to warrant critics calling it such a "praisworthy performance/"

Actually, I meant that I still have yet to see Sin City; not that I have yet to see what the praise is for.

I think Wood has like one line. They just shot him, sitting there and impassive. How that constitutes a good performance I don't know. The only thing he actually *did* was run from Marv and then attack him.

Wood doesn't say anything; if you ever watch the movie again, Chaltab [given your experience, I'd understand if you didn't], Cardinal Roark explains that Kevin only speaks to him, and has "the voice of an angel."

Right. No lines. I didn't remember.

Um. Jedi. Why did you say "Two Words: Jessica Alba?"
She wasn't really even apart of the segments involving Wood's character. But she did looke great.
