Luckily my screening was free from any technical difficulties.

The story was solid. Patrick Troughton has always been my favorite Doctor since my first run through of the series.

I’m a little disappointed in the animation studios efforts here. You could tell they were working with a very small budget and during the little featurette after the show they mentioned how they were working under extreme time constraints to get it done by the deadline.

I wish they had brought back the studio that did The Tenth Planet. Their character designs were a little too anime-y but their layouts, use of lighting and animation was pretty great at times.

In contrast, the effort here for Power left a lot wanting. Their backgrounds and the Daleks were great though.

But it’s serviceable and the story can now be watched in at least some form now.
