^ I’ve never liked the idea that believing in the Force isn’t enough, that you need some sort of magic blood or special genes to draw on the power of the Force. Abilities like that being limited by heredity is a disturbingly eugenicist idea and one of the uglier parts of classic SF.
Someone being Force-skilled but untutored is a much more reasonable idea IMO.
