The Scream Factory version of The Thing looks and sounds excellent overall! The audio was the main reason why I purchased this release… They include a 4.1 DTS-HD MA track of the original Dolby Stereo 6-Track mix.

I like to know if the knight rider blu rays could be tweaked a bit because they use a little work please would anyone like to take a crack at it? Ignore the post in fan edits of other films i put it in there by mistake
I found the new colors for The Thing to be better than the old Blu-Rays. I’d need to see some comparison shots. Has anyone made some?

There will be showings for a 70mm print of Batman '89 at the Prince Charles cinema in London, reportedly in excellent condition:

I love when theaters not only play old movies, but they show them on 35mm. Helps give us a better idea of what the proper colors are supposed to be.

I was lucky enough to see The King and I in 35 mm last year, which was a great experience.
I also own the blu ray which is something of a mess where color timing is concerned, with many shots cast heavily in blue. I can’t help but think of Willy Wonka when I look at this shot of Deborah Kerr:

Add A Fistful of Dollars. I’m currently working on regrading it as Koopa Troopa Productions from the Ripley’s (somewhat accurate colors, but somewhat dull-looking) and the Kino Lorber (too yellow), based largely on the old Fox releases from the '80s. (For obvious reasons, I’m not using one frame of footage from the MGM, which apart from the cropping also looks rather muddy.)
THE MATRIX Trilogy on 4K UHD has been completely remastered and the Blu-ray discs included are exclusive to the release with the same new transfers.
Maybe take the current remasters and do “fan preservations” that way to match random 35mm prints? Bonus discs would be par excellence.
im surprised no one mentioned the new mint green chocolate look to midnight cowboy.
Minority Report has a weird blue tint.
Batman, Batman Returns (1989/1992)… haven’t looked into Forever (1995) and Robin (1997), but it’s unlikely they aren’t modified as well.
These for the 4K. Look at these caps, to see how they modified them, compared with the old Blu-ray (1080p) release.
Has anyone provided any Batman in 35mm? If not this is a much needed project.
