All I wished is that people would examine Luke the same way they do Rey.

Ok.

It takes Luke 3 years to awkwardly “Force get” his lightsaber in the snow.

And you know this how? Just because this is the first time we’ve seen him do a Force Pull on screen doesn’t mean he wasn’t capable of it in the 3 year time span between SW and ESB. If he was able to learn Blast Deflection in a few minutes why not telekinesis?

A few hours after having touched the very same lightsaber, Rey succeeds in “Force getting” the saber (I really don’t know the english term) in an even more spectacular way (someone else - someone with years of Jedi/proto-Sith training - was also trying to “Force get” the saber, but she easily beats him).

Though she did use a Force Pull without any training in the ability I don’t think Kylo Ren was even able to use The Force at the time.

  1. When he reaches for the lightsaber with the Force it didn’t even budge.

  2. The novelization said after he killed Han he felt weaker than he had in a long time

  3. Aside from him Force Pushing Rey prior to their fight he doesn’t use the Force at all during their duel.

It takes 4 years to Luke to master the Jedi mind trick.

Again, where are you getting this from? Just because we didn’t see Luke use a mind trick prior to ROTJ doesn’t mean he didn’t know it.

He succeeds with Bib, fails with Jabba.

As SilverWook brought up in the other threads Hutts are immune to mind tricks. Very poor point.

Rey fails her first attempt (which occurs only a few hours after being told the existence of the Force) but a few seconds later - for some reasons which are never explained - she succeeds.

Why would it be explained at that time?

Luke almost got killed a few times (sand people, the cantina, the trash compactor, Vader in the trench, etc.) but got saved by someone else (mostly Ben and his Force protection). Rey… hum… well, at one point she’s in danger but she manages to escape (thanks to fast learning Jedi mind trick) or in other scenes she stays alive because she knows how to shoot, to kick ass with a metallic stick, to fly the Falcon, to climb, to bypass electronic devices, to use a lightsaber (just… because the script needs her to use a lightsaber), etc.

Well you’re forgetting that Finn was manning the turrets and shot down one of the two TIEs. Furthermore before Finn destroyed this TIE Fighter Rey got hit multiple times. He saved her…and this isn’t even the first time. When they were still on the ground Finn grabbed Rey on two different occasions where if she were alone she would have perished.

Rey might be the most powerful character ever seen in a movie

LMFAO SURE BUDDY

It’s fine if you don’t like her or if you find her OP but you’re exaggerating beyond belief.

her only pain is to witness the death of someone she only got to know a few hours. Luke struggles to get a few things done and nevertheless cannot prevent Ben, Beru, Owen or Biggs from dying.

And the pain of her finally accepting that her family abandoned her but then again Rey actually had internal stuff going on unlike Luke in SW.
