This find from the Legacy thread is something that we may have discussed before:

Also occurs in ANHR, I wonder if it will be fixed in AHRSE.

Also looks like the docking bay isn’t long enough to have the entire Falcon in it. Maybe a job for the Falcon model?

One thing that’s always bugged me about ANH is that when they’re getting pulled into the Death Star, Han says ‘full reverse’ and then the ship begins to shake. I understand that ships use repulsorlifts to maneuver when taking off and this could conceivably push them in any direction, but it seems bizarre that Han would engage this rudimentary system instead of simply ‘turning the ship around’ as Obi-wan suggests. The Falcon has no forward engines or jets that I am aware of, so how does the ship go in reverse?

The only semi-plausible answer I can come up with is that the engines have flaps which can redirect the thrust of the engines to the sides and slightly forward (due to the curvature of the hull) and these flaps are what steer the ship through adjustments.

Then I thought how interesting it would be to see these flaps in motion, such as when the Falcon is turning around to exit the Death Star hangar. They may ripple and move independently of each other in order to direct thrust from one side of the ship to another, allowing it to spin and turn. I know suggestions aren’t being taken at this late hour, so I’ll just imagine it all pretty-like in my head. 😃

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

The thing that always felt weird for me was Han telling Chewie to lock in the auxiliary power twice.

It felt like two takes spliced together rather than Chewie being slow on the uptake.

Maybe it was to up the urgency of the scene a little. Just a wild guess 😃

I got the impression Chewie was struggling with the controls and was simply distracted for a moment.

Another thing I hope for is having a wolfman come back to the cantina scene but with a better face. Less Halloween mask.
When I was a kid I loved that character.

I think it’s supposed to be that Chewie did it, but it has no effect because “We’re caught in a tractor beam and it’s pulling us in!”. But Harrisons delivery of the 2nd “Chewie lock in the auxiliary power.” sounds just like his first request, with no added urgency, so it sounds like they just used two different takes of the same line and it’s jarring.

JEDIT: I watched this scene last night, and Harrison’s delivery actually isn’t as bad as I remember.

There is nothing wrong with these lines, nothing jarring. The first one is normal, he gives Chewie an order; the second one is because cutting the auxilary power does not work so he makes sure Chewie heard the order the first time.

(nitpicking at its best)

Maybe this has been asked before, but I didn’t see it on the last couple pages so I’ll ask. If Rogue One shows any detailed, complete image of the Death Star plans, will ANHR-HD be altered to match it? Or will it stick with the design in the original Revisited?

If Adywan likes it maybe. He’s not beholden to the new canon, but will take something if he likes it.

It would be great if the Death Star reveal in ANH:R HD had Scarif in the background.
