Why do you even watch this show? You obviously don’t like it.

Yeah I understand that, but the fact is that twice in a row he could have easily destroyed one rebel captain and two Jedis as well as one of the most efficient crew of the rebellion and he doesn’t for a “master plan” we - as the audience - have no clue about (not even a hint of some kind, just “they shall see… they… shall… see” stuff).
I’m guessing he traded the pleasure of killing a Rebel Captain, Kanan, Ezra and the rest of the Ghost Crew in order to kill literally every leader the Rebellion has and most of the muscle that backs them up which would include the Ghost Crew. Even if he had killed the Ghost Crew and a Rebel Captain The Rebellion would have survived. Kill the aforementioned, Leia, Cham Syndula, Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, etc. and that would be a lethal blow.
This is why I don’t like the way it’s written because there is no real contruction of the main season plot yet, things don’t add up so far, so it doesn’t work well (but it seems I’m the only one bothered by that).
In terms of a linear and straightforward way of story telling I admit this wouldn’t be the way to go about it but if they plan on having Thrawn lead the Rebels into a huge trap he will of course fill the audience in as to the intricacies of his plan. I think the most important part is that the plot makes sense in hindsight. Sure a movie could seem well written upon your first time seeing it but what good is it if it doesn’t hold up when reflection upon and after multiple viewings?

Duracell must have hit pretty close to the mark to get you all riled up like that, huh, kid …

Right question, wrong thread. Re-post it here.
You know I’m french, I don’t see the difference between moron, prick, douche, etc. So I picked one which seemed suitable to the guy; I use the same with you, my little frinkette. Now, if you don’t want to talk about the tvseries you can go **** (could be “read”, who knows ?) yourself (or duramachin) elsewhere.

Well I think I mostly agree. Like I said I hope the season proves me wrong in the end. But season 2 kinda had the same narrative issue that was hidden by very good stand-alones and the residual TCW sequel that was infused in it. So far, the season 3 stand-alone episodes are just ok and Maul’s caméo appearence is mediocre (imho).

So you’re on a SW website to… talk about politics ? You deserve your new name…

All but the first apply to me.
Of course, if you really wanted to insult me, you should’ve called me “normal”.

Thanks for sharing that important information with us.
Play nice, or else.
Where were you in '77?
Just saw the latest episode. To me, it’s pretty clear that Thrawn isn’t interested in small victories: he’s after the whole pie. He’s learning the crew of the Ghost and what makes them tick so that he can take down the entire Rebellion through them.
Taking out Cham and the Ghost in this episode is akin to taking out a bruiser in the mafia; sure you stop him from doing anything else, but the structure is still in place and they’ll just be replaced by someone else later on. Better to learn who they are and what makes them tick so that you can manipulate them into giving you the whole shebang later on. This is just the beginning, and Thrawn’s first interaction with our crew.

So yeah, I definitely recommend anyone looking for more insight into the series to follow the official Youtube after show Rebels Recon.

I don’t remember anything that specific; all I remember is that the other Inquisitors were shit. Not only were they’re incompetent but they were one dimensional as well.

New episode is pretty good. I love that they used The Clone Wars music for the outro/credits. I was glad to see the droids again, even if they’re a little stupid and childish. Ezra’s revelation was super cool, and the dynamic between Rex and the Super Tactical Droid was awesome.
Really liked the new one. This season has been pretty solid so far, if nothing special (yet).
Also, one question about a couple weeks back, is Wedge really supposed to be that young?

I guess so now, haha. I always saw him as maybe a couple years older than Luke at most, so it feels about right to me.

I wasn’t particularly thrilled with Darth Maul’s return at first, but now I’ll concede it was all but inevitable. The more so since him getting cut in half and surviving eerily parallels the character Maw from LucasArts’ 1997 Jedi Knight game.
Heck, half-machine TCW Maul would’ve made a more sensible minor antagonist for Episode III than General Grievous. I wonder if there’s some sort of Ur-Maul character in this vein mentioned in GL’s 1980s prequel notes, or if he just cribbed the idea from his game company?
(…and if so, is GL to blame for Darth Mycroft Darth Megagoth Darth Maul’s Even More Stupidly Named Older Brother?)
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”
New episode is pretty good.
Best episode of the third season so far. First time that one character is actually trying to figure out what the hell happened when the Clone Wars ended. I especially love the clash of PT v OT when Stormtroopers finally don’t miss their targets. The Droid Tactical officer is great, hope he will show up again later.
Man. This episode may end up being one of my favorites in the whole series. I never thought I’d say that about anything PT-related, but there was just something about it that was as much a homage and goodbye to The Clone Wars series for me as it was a final (and fitting) end to the Clone Wars for the characters, too. It felt like a great way to deal with the PT from an OT point of view, to me.
I think Ezra figuring out what happened was a great path to take, as well. And the Super Tactical Droid (I forget his name) was actually a really good character, and I assume we’ll see more of him later on. Maybe he’ll build a new droid army that the Rebels will need at a pivotal moment?
I feel like bringing together the former enemies of the Clone War and showing them how they got played by the Empire was something that the Rebellion would do (after all, they’ve been shown using CIS and Republic ships and vehicles in various EU things before).

I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.
I haven’t been especially looking forward to this one, as I usually find the Mandalorians to be pretty boring. Hopefully it will surprise me.
