If Disney doesn’t release the OOT, I’d find it harder to forgive them then I did to forgive GL because:

GL created Star Wars in the first place.
GL gave us TCW.
In the era of GL, most people watched movies their tvs, which have color adjustment options. Today, people watch movies on their computers and phones, which don’t have any color adjustment options.
There was always another version ahead if there was something wrong with the current version. There was hope that things like lightsabers could be fixed in future versions.
