Hello from Texas! I’m ashamed it took me this long to find this forum. My wife and I have the old Definitive Laserdisc set but we’re happy to know of better options! Looking forward to the forum!
Hello there.
I’m an analyst by profession, who is obsessed with cinematography. I love the craziness that comes from watching and analysing films with variable aspect ratios, and the different versions of films with open matte transfers.
I’m here to research on all the fan-made projects, particularly Star Wars and Harry Potter, since I grew up with these franchises, but I also love seeing “custom IMAX” versions for films that never got an IMAX treatment on digital/home release media.
I may be officially new here (been a lurker for years) but I would also support quite a bit of these projects and would like to do more to help out our hard-working creators.
Thank you!
Your light saber will make a fine addition to my collection.

Hello there! I’m ThatguyBry and I am mainly here to help support film and TV preservation, along with reading and talking about movies and film history. I also love to support fan films, fan edits, and the restoration and preservation of 35mm.
Hello there! I was born in the 70s, grew up in the 80s, I was surrounded by Star Wars. It’s great to meet other like-minded people!
Hi everyone!
Nico here, born in the 70s.
Everyone should be able to re-enjoy a movie as he saw it in theatres on release. Some subsequent alterations from studios or directors are sometimes questionable.
Fan edits became possible and accessible with computers and digital medias. I just discovered this whole new hobby for ones, and eden for others.
I hope we’ll have a lot of enjoyment together!
Hello Everyone,
I’ve always hoped Disney would pull the original trilogy out of the vault… as each day goes by it looks less and less likely.
Hey All! Checking in from Pacifica California.
Watched the originals in the theatrical first runs for each. Nothing line the line that ran around the theater, across the parking lot and down the side of the adjacent buildings to the General Cinema in Tulsa. Along with the blasting arc lights during the first couple of weeks next to the theater at night. Few things left such an impression after those showings.
Hello fellow Star Wars fans! I came here because I was looking for a way to see the original theatre versions of the films, but I am seeing so much general information that I am definitely going to take the time to read and find out what’s going on in this community.
I was born in 1970 and Star Wars was the first film I ever saw in a movie theater back in 1977. It set me up as a lifetime fan of many things science fiction and fantasy! I remember the first time I heard of Star Wars as being referred to as “A New Hope” and at first what was being talked about if there was some other Star Wars film that was being made.
I look forward to participating in some discussions and checking out the projects that have been completed be those who are restoring the original works. May the force be with you all!
Hi Everyone. I joined about a year ago but was not ready to work through the process of downloading Project 4k77 or Harmie’s Despecialized. I now have the PC hardware needed to download and start my home media server. I would appreciate help getting the files downloaded. The first movie I saw in the theaters when I was 3 years old was Return of the Jedi. I have been a fan ever since and miss the original trilogy without all the bad CGI
hi everyone i am new here . hope we can create something great here

Hello everyone!
I’m new here and I love the work you do preserving the movies as we remember them.
Good evening everyone! Glad to get around to connecting with SW fans and getting an opportunity to watch the original trilogy as close to what they were during first release. Happy father and husband, when I’m not adulting I’m collecting Star Wars Black Series figures and other collectibles/novelties.
Hello everybody!
I always was a big SW fan and really liked to watched the bluray versions of the movies. But something was missing.
The charme of the original trilogy.
Thanks for your great work to keep the originals alive!
Hello, Edelmann fron Germany here. I am just here for Harry Potter. Sorry Star Wars fans 😦 Hope I am welcome here anyway 😃
