Hi. So I tried using PMs, emoticons and pictures over the weekend from my home computer and still no joy....
Maybe it will fix itself after the site relaunch?

the petition will still be there, jay is doing it in hopes to attract more people to the site, he is looking at the site as a business now after running it as a hobby for 2 years.

Tell that to my bank account, which has shouldered the burden of this site for the past two years.

Honestly, I'm bored with the site as a hobby and need it to evolve. Otherwise, I have little incentive to keep in going in the long-term.

I understand. But please play up the Star wars aspect of the site, especially the Original trilogy petition, otherwise the site loses it's significance and becomes another generic sci-fi site. Put up ads, do what you gotta do, but don't stray too far from the original purpose. Just my 2 cents, it's your site.

Have you noticed the Google ads? Or are you running a filter? They've been up for a few weeks.

Working on it. Since things are chugging along here, I haven't been in too much of a rush to get the new software finished. I know I need to get moving though.

Jay I know it might be a little be late for asking that, but will there be any way to control who can post on some threads? Like, filtering a specific thread to pre-determined users? I mean, I think it MIGHT be necessary...

pardon me I can't see a situation where I would want ban someone from a thread, but I would not want to ban the person from the whole forum. Sorry but I don't see it.

Well, maybe you haven't seen what is happening on the forum, more specifically at the off topic section, but I feel that there should be some threads where trolls and annoying people shouldn't be allowed to post.

I don't think the forum as a whole would benefit from people creating threads that amount to little private clubs.

There will be an "ignore" function as seen in other forums, but even that I take issue with.
