I'd like to see a list, although I'm mostly interested in vintage items (1977-1985).
I'd like to see a list, although I'm mostly interested in vintage items (1977-1985).
Some ROTJ fixes (sorry if they've already been mentioned):
-Original musical number
-Saber burns/wounds on Jabba's henchmen when Luke is kicking ass on the skiff and on the sail barge
-Remove Fett's scream after Solo ignites his jetpack
-Make Fett fire at the Sarlaac tentacle pulling him into the pit
-Fix Fett's jetpack effects (wrong angle currently)
-Saber returning to Vader's hand after he cuts the catwalk out from under Luke
-Ewoks need blinking eyes and mouth movement
-Yub Yub song as an extra
Combine 2 cans of Hormel chili with beans + 1 large container of cream cheese in a medium sized pot. Simmer until slow boil. Eat with tortilla chips. Tell everyone else they're on their own. You'll be set.
According to The Digital Bits, the upcoming trilogy box sets have NO NEW CONTENT. They are simply repackaging the "limited edition" 2-disc versions.
ADYWAN is the man. I have not jumped into the BR pit yet but hats off to him anyway.
I am not buying another two trilogy sets. I broke down and bought the "limited edition" 2 disc with the original versions because they were super cheap at Costco even though I swore I wouldn't. I'm done. But...
If ADYWAN decides to revisit all of the films, then I will definitely obtain those. I just finished SW Episode IV: Revisited and it blew me away. It's perfect.
1. How does one determine the bit rate of a DVD?
2. How does one determine the audio type of a DVD (pcm, etc)?
Thanks in advance,

I have the VHS set of The Godfather 1902-1959 The Complete Epic which I transfered to DVD. There is also a version called The Godfather: A Novel for Television that incorporates much of the aforementioned movie plus additional scenes found in the deleted scenes in the DVD trilogy set. The Novel for TV has never been released on video.
A complete fan edit extended cut could be made using The Restoration and deleted scenes. (I assume that the new, upcoming DVD set (The Restoration) will include the old supplemental material as well.) Until it is released this fall, there's really no point in attempting a fan edited extended edition. Why not use the best source materials for this extended cut?
Count me among those who are totally psyched for this version. I am a huge fan of the famously flawed flick (both theatrical and TV version) and a fan edit done right could be the answer to my prayers.
SD is fine with me, too.
Sorry if this has been asked already but when can we expect a DVD release for this?
I just looked at doubleofive's slide show comparing the 2004 version with Revisited. I AM ASTOUNDED. The color correction is stunning and all the little new additions to scenes make me giddy with anticipation. ADYWAN IS A GOD!

Thanks for the warm welcome. Someone gonna kill my dog now?
Your list gets mine.
I have many magazines, books and comics to trade. Mainly looking for vintage magazines – quality is not an issue.
Check my ebay feedback under the user name “kizzstuff.”
Thanks for looking.
Cheers,

ADYWAN is the best thing to happen to Star Wars since Irvin Kershner.
