I made dvd labels, originally intended for MaximRecoil’s 1984 vhs set (hope he doesn’t mind). I just wanted something more than simple text despite it is classic. So i used his typeset recreation (with tiny tweak) and put some background images there.

If anyone has any covers by the superb ‘Coov’, ‘Ell the Ewok’, ‘DarkJedi’, ‘ReverendBeastly’, ‘Darth Solo’, ‘Yoda Is Your Father’, ‘FusionAddict’ and ‘Yourfriendkaysar’ please post them up - along with any other decent sets/covers/discs/inserts etc by anyone else on here - it’d be a shame if their quality covers and art were lost over time (and to old broken/deleted links and obsolete photo servers etc)…

One another note about the czech dub. One member named pittrek replied to my original post and send me both czech dub versions for every Harmy’s mkv file and I must say that they fits perfectly, so far I didnt noticed any desync…however that’s not the case for the dub syncs included in the actual mkvs. Some parts are so horribly out of sync that it is practically unwatchable. Especially in ROTJ (Yoda closes his mouth, then you hear him talking…i noticed that one part of Endor battle is about 2 sec desync…etc).
So i would strongly recommend to ask pittrek if he would be willing to include his dub syncs to the mkvs or in some other way made them public, because it would be shame (for czech viewers) to not include them.Actually I’m finding lots of sync problems in both versions of the dub (I don’t usually pay much attention to lip sync because that can simply be off in dubs, but the lip sync is way off IMO and the sound effects are off quite a bit too). I think I’m going to try to sort this out once and for all and get a solid sync, starting with pittrek’s sources.
and do you mean the pittreks syncs? really? sound effects are off? thats strange i really didnt encounter any desync, but so far i was mainly checking bits where you can clearly match the sound like shots, clanking, saber clashes, button push etc. mouth dont fit 100% with any dub…i was also mainly focusing on the second dub version. i will check the first one more thoroughly too

On the contrary, 4K would need 4 times the bandwidth to be of equal quality with 1080p, so upscaling 1080p to 4K would be pointless and would either result in pointlessly huge files, or reduced detail compared to the 1080p version due to compression.
As for the '95 Czech dubs (I actually recently discovered they were made for the 1995 THX VHS release, not the '97SE), I didn’t include them, because the translation is awful and I also always try to include the most original dubs possible. If anyone wants any alternate dubbing, they are, of course, welcome to mux them in themselves - the number of audio tracks is way too huge as it is, so I can’t include multiple dubs for each language on top of all that.
I’m actually thinking about releasing the next version with english tracks only and then including links for all the different dubs and instructions on how to add them.

to defend that dub: not sure why you think that the 92 has better translation. most of the lines are completely identical. but what matters more imho is casting and performance and in this aspect the second version is far superior…neverheless as i said it is the version which is without any doubt the most popular here
hello, my first post here. i was unable to find search function on this forum so maybe this doesnt exactly belong here. i have a question regarding dubbing versions. i am from czech republic and i always enjoyed our second vhs dubbing - it has many errors from translation, even some mismatches between characters, but it is wonderfully performed. i believe it was done for 1997 special edition so i understand why did you pick the previous version. however, does anybody know if there is a plan to add this dubb version too? i think i am not the only person from czech republic which would appreciate that, becouse this dubb version is very popular. i even have very good sounding cut of this dubb for gout (someone did it wonderfully before) but my video editing skills are very limited so i would be willing to share it.
