I finally watched the new episode (cable in my dorm doesn’t get BBCA, but I’m back home for the weekend so I’ll at least see the next episode before going back). Anyway, I rather enjoyed it, and I loved Whitaker, even if she seemed to be doing a Tennant impression at times (I’m sure she’ll grow into her own soon enough). I am pissed about two things though. Why the hell did they not have a title sequence? I kept waiting for it, and it was horribly disappointing that they just skipped it. I assume they just really wanted a cold open for the premiere of the season and we’ll get it this week, but it really bugged me.

Sounds like maybe you got a bad copy where the color signal conked out on it’s way to the recorders. Tapes were mass duplicated and I doubt every tape was quality checked before being shipped out. I once even got a movie that was not the one on the box or label!
