Wow, I got the DVD a few days ago - amazing job! I loved the commentary, Nasruddin feature, everything! A hearty congratulations! I really hope we'll be able to the real thing in theaters. It could happen!

Just saw the Youtube part- you did the mouth animation for "If I had a son..."!? Amazing - I had to watch it twice, it was so convincing! Wonderful work!

Noticed something while watching Re-cobbled version:

The whole Tack/Zig-Zag fight sequence, with the smoke all around - was this Calvert? I noticed the re-used Zig Zag sound effects from the earlier card trick scene.

I was wondering, and my friend Jeremy as well - will there be subtitles? That would be pretty cool. Maybe foreign langauge ones too (I can see it now: The German "Der Dieb und der Schuster" with Zick-Zack der Wesir.)

In my school, I'm co-president of the Anime Club, which isn't doing so well right now. Well, I always carry around a copy of the Rough Re-cobbled version (seriously.) and I put it in the dvd player - and we could only watch the first half-hour (time restrictions) but it got a very warm reception! The other co-president, Jeremy, personally congratulated you, Garret! He was very impressed on how seamless it all looked. The others in the club were almost speechless, simply watching in awe. (At least, that's what I take their silence and absolute attention for)
Well, I'm taking a sick day today, but tomorrow we should continue it. Is it alright if I could possibly burn copies for some club members?
Also - after watching the Rough Copy again, I noticed several things (such as the pipe outside the window next to Tack repairing the shoe). Cool stuff! Also - just one thing - everything's cool with adding music (especially Sheherazade!) - but are you keeping the love theme? I hope so.

It sounds PERFECT for the re-cobbled version, especially the last half.

I was just thinking about this - but, in the adding of all of this new music and such, what makes us any different than Calvert, adding HIS music? And actors, etc. No offence, but I think the original music... really worked just fine. It really didn't need anything else.

Wow. WOW. Being a huge Cobbler fan for a good while, I wondered to myself "Someone should really restore this film." many times. And, as it turns out, someone already is! I applaud you, OCPMOVIE and all who have helped on this.
Speaking of help, is there any way I could help? I am quite competent with GIMP/Photoshop and I am fervently in love with The Thief and the Cobbler...
