Thank you very much for the replies.

Which T2 releases have the best audio? Thanks!

This is what I’d like to have:
The Terminator Remastered BD and mono audio from the Special Edition DVD
T2 Special Edition: Open-matte LD and ???

If it means anything, theres a copy of the remastered BD with the syned mono track from the LD on MySpleen. The LD mono track is MILES better than the flat sounding mono track MGM included on the Special Edition DVD. Hope this helps.

This does help and planning to read some of those threads. However, what about T2 Special Edition. Anyone know which T2 Special Edition soundtrack is best?

Info: Interstellar - ColorMatching BluRay to 70mm
Time

The Blu-Ray is 16:9. There is no open matte version of Interstellar. The film was shot on 35mm anamorphic (2.35:1) and IMAX 65mm (1.43:1). The Bluray emulates the IMAX experience by switching between full 2.40:1 and 1.78:1 (cropped vertically from 1.43:1). The DVD is constant 2.40:1.

Thought I saw a 1.43:1 IMAX frame that on the BD is 2.35/2.40:1, has anyone else noticed this?

According to dvdcompare.net, there is a Region-5 T2 (Theatrical) DVD in 4X3 released by ‘Twister Digital Video’, anyone have it? Is it open-matte?

Thanks MrBrown for the links.

yes it’s open mate.

Wish there was a fan-edit primarily using the FS Theatrical DVD and splicing the WS Special Edition scenes, the changing aspect ratios and framing would be ok.

It’s been quiet here for some time, so I’ll return to my original question - is there any chance you would digitize your Sci-fi channel SEs ? 😃

Hi. Yes, I plan on doing it when I can. I saw a few minutes of the recordings and they look pretty good. It’s just finding the time to do them. I’ve also been going through my paper archives and have come across things I forgot I saved through the years from different genre sources, so I’m pleased to still have them. Thanks for the continued interest!

ST2112, you have all the episodes? Willing to lend the tapes?

Can someone step up to do HQ caps now? Thanks

Hi. I will have to check my tapes to be sure of exactly which ones I have. A couple of my notes were not clear. I don’t think I have all of the Nimoy segments, but should have most, if not all, of the Shatner ones. I will try to confirm this for you as soon as I can. Yes, I am willing to share them. I have, however, been disappointed with a couple of members I have corresponded with privately through the Original Trilogy forum when I did not receive a reply to a query on getting info and help on sharing something with me. I completed several Star Wars transfers for them, but since they have not responded to my questions in over two months, and haven’t even asked about the transfers, I am a little leery about my decision to share things with them and have full faith in their integrity. I have been in ill health this summer and just don’t have the time or inclination to deal with anyone that isn’t responsive and may be unwilling to reciprocate in the sharing of material. Thanks.

Hope you feel better soon.

I’m sure some you won’t have these issues with some of the more prominent members here. I would like to see some discussion on possible transfer plans. Who has the equipment and who has the time? What is the best kind of transfer? I would like a HQ (DVD-R) transfer with CC retained.

Thank you as well. The many kind responses I have gotten have renewed my confidence and interest in working with this group. I only wish my health issues weren’t such an impediment to everything I want to accomplish this year. I saved all this material for decades hoping they could be shared and enjoyed by others and then a health crisis occurs. The best laid plans… 😃

The folks here are good. Any volunteers?

…There might also be actual HDTV airings of the 2-part version.

I recorded an SDTV airing of the original 2-part version a few years ago from a UK channel where old video masters and OOP stuff frequently turn up (especially Warner content). Unfortunately the resolution is 544x576i - nowhere even close to NTSC 720x480, let alone 720/1080p.

There was also a VCD release at one point.

Pretty sure this website is dead though.

I’d like to see the 576i and VCD versions.
