I guess it would depend on the shot of the Executor you wanted to enhance. What kind of shot did you have in mind?

Also, if you want to use any perspective of that little video I made for different angles of the Death Star, feel free to do so.

That would come in handy for the view of the Death Star from Endor’s surface. Not to mention you could change up the angle for some of the space battle shots.

You could make changes like these:

Someone more skilled than I could make better examples 😄

Inspired by Sir Ridley, I thought to myself, What if I projected the image of the Death Star into a proper sphere that had the correct volumes of the superlaser, the trench, and the cuts in the surface as the Death Star II?

Here is a broad test. It allows you to move the view slightly. At some point you start seeing the trick, but it could be a nice tool to get static different points of views (by reparing the image a little) or to get slight movement like Sir Ridley suggested.

That’s amazing. I love just how much talent there is in these forums. Could something like this be used on a static image of a ship, like the Executor, just to give it some subtle 3d movement as it moves across the screen?

I don’t know if this will be overkill, unnecesary or already posted. But I saw it and I thought about the Revisited Editions.

This file contains sound effects from Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017) including starship passbys, laser shots, explosions, lightsaber sounds, cockpit sounds, walker steps and a long list of other sounds. Very diverse, perfectly sorted and named.

Star Wars DVD Covers
Time

I did these a while back. Its the prequel-style version of the original trilogy. The idea was to make modern Struzan-style posters for the original trilogy that could work individually.

Well, a while back I realized that people  have been used these designs as the official posters for articles around the web.

So, I decided to tweak it a little bit again (If George Lucas can do that, I can too!)

Loved the clip. Love all the new clouds and the movement of the camera when the falcon is doing the k-turn. Loved the little traces of melt metal and smoke every time there is a lightsaber cut. Everything looks beautiful.

My only grip would be Darth Vaders helmet... Its better than windy helmet, but it feels static. He moves his head but the reflections of the helmet do not move. Its impossible to improve and it is better than the original one, but its something Ive noticed.

I havent posted in here for a while now. But the other day I rewatched the ESB and realized of a mistake. I dont know if it is already fixed or if it is impossible to fix because there are people in movement involved.

When han is brought to his cell after being tortured, two stormtroopers carry him with his arms around their shoulders. When they drop him, Han's arm twists and pulls up one of the stormtroopers helmets.

The guy then walks away like if nothing happened even if he clearly cant see with the helmet like that.

If this was discussed before, sorry for bringing it up again.

The episode numbers were on the OT. They began doing it when Star Wars was re-released right before The Empire Strikes Back came out. I was there, I still remember all the WTFs rumbling throughout the theater when Episode 4 came up.

I was born after the OT was theatrically released and I remember I believed the Episode IV thing was a nod of how when you watch a Soap Opera or a TV Serial you start watching it whenever you do, not at the begining.

To me it was just as if it started with "Episode 148".

Which amazes me is that this means when I was a kid I already understood this movies were ment to be a reference to old TV Serials.

It felt like how when someone extracts a tale from the Bible it starts with mentioning which chapter it is. It gave it that Epic sense of you are just reading a chapter of something grander.

I never thought there were meant to be another three chapters before it or that it was incomplete. When they announced they were doing Episodes I II and III I thought "Thats smart, they are using the fact that they wrote Episode IV at the begining to write the stories that happened before".

I've played about with the binocular shot. Here is the revised version. Make sure you watch the 720p version though because youtubes compression on the SD version is pretty crappy

http://youtu.be/HNfl0K3iRmA

EDIT: It still looks pretty crappy in HD. Here is a download link for the 720p mkv of this shot:

https://hotfile.com/dl/197542645/33e9732/binocs_revised.mkv.html

I dont know what you did because I cant compare the two shots right now, but the CG feeling is mostly gone now. (It was a difficult shot because it is too ortogonal, with hardly any perspective due to the distance, and with mechanic repetitive movements)

So great job.

The Unofficial Complete REVISITED SAGA Ideas and Random Discussion Thread

I definitely understand Ady not editing the ST - I'm really hoping that they are done well so that it's not necessary. With that said, my hope is that as he edits the PT, Ady takes ST continuity into account (if only slightly). It is going to be devastating if we are provided an amazing 6 part Revisited saga... that can't be watched cohesively with the ST. I'm assuming that shouldn't really be an issue, since the PT should be minimally mentioned in the ST... but when it comes to SW, you never know what could happen...

The revisited saga will only be 6 films. I won't ever be touching Ep 7 and onwards. And i also won't be taking anything in to account from those films continuity wise , because i have to wait until all the new episodes are done before even staring the prequels.  If i wanted to change something in the PT and then it is suddenly referenced in the ST, then that would screw everything up. I don't want to be an old(er) man by the time these films are finished. I want to get them out of the way and forget about Star Wars and fan editing. I'll be done. You're talking at least another 6 years before episode 9 is released and that bis only if they are releasing then 2 years apart.. So add that to the years that it will take me to do the prequels and i'll probably be ready to collect my pension.

I would suggest you forget about the prequels altogether. Those were unsalvable terrible movies that are not necessary at all to enjoy Star Wars.

Whatever you edit, whatever you dub or re-do, you will still have the basic plot that doesnt make real sense, same acting and same peoplewalkingthroughcorridors directing.

And I think, by the time you finished ROTJ:R, we will already have Episode VII, and im sure, by then, most of us will connect the prequels with the sequels as "subprodcuts" like comics or videogames, like "things that were made just to squeeze money from the original".

Those are remarkable job, and suddenly all Hoth feels real again.

About Dagobah. I really like how the colors are different where the light comes from and not just one green-blue tint all over the shot. The only problem ive seen in that picture and in some recent videos of Revisited is that Yoda and his hair look more blueish than they should.

This is a comparison between the bluray, the revisited edition (from october) and screenshots form a copy of the old "just color corrected" version of Empire Strikes Back Adywan did long ago. I know that was just a test, and maybe it makes Dagobah too bright. But maybe a step between those two?
