Sadly, it will be released as two separated films overseas.

That is a bummer to be sure.

Since we talked about the Mr. Pink reference in the Tipping thread, I'm assuming you're a Tarantino fan? I LOVE his films, especially Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs. Did not really care for Jackie Brown too much.

I'm a huge Tarantino fan, yes. My favorites are Resevoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill part 1.

Zelda TP: Finished, gonna take a while before I go back to that game, maybe do some fishing, I was not able to fish anything at the pond.

Super Monkey Ball banana Blitz: 2 levels from world 7 and world 8 to go.

WarioWare Smooth Moves: Around 99.9% done, got all the minigames there, but I think I still have one last think to get 9I wasn't able to pass the "sudden death elephant" stage.

Super Castlevania 4: Hooked up that game again, mostly for research reasons (long story), can't pass by that giant skull boss.

Mario Kart DS: My game got completely erased for some reason, still a three or four stages on mirror to go - luckly I've been getting 3 stars on all the races so far.

I never thought this movie would ever get out of development hell... But after Superman did, everything is possible.

What worries me is:

On August 8, 2006, Lucas told Empire magazine:

"I discovered a McGuffin. I told the guys about it, and they were a little dubious about it, but it’s the best one we’ve ever found… Unfortunately, it was a little too ‘connected’ for the others. They were afraid of what the critics would think. They said, 'Can’t we do it with a different McGuffin? Can’t we do this?' and I said 'No.' So we pottered around with that for a couple of years. And then Harrison really wanted to do it and Steve said, 'Okay.' I said, 'We’ll have to go back to that original McGuffin and take out the offending parts of it and we’ll still use that area of the supernatural to deal with it."

It's a plot based on an idea GL had, and people balked at it... I'm not sure this is going to be good...

If she's more of an intelectual, I'd recommend the Kubrick classics, Dr Strangelove, 2001 A Space Odissey, Eyes Wide Shut. In that order.

If you feel she won't dig these kinds of films and is more of a crime or action flick fan, I'd go for Pulp Fiction, Memento and Ran (or any Kurosawa film prior to 1985).

Or go for three movies that wont fail: Sleepless in Seattle, Casablanca, As Good as it Gets.

Bill Gates is usually wrong about future tendencies and market decisions - anyone remember how he ridiculously thought the Internet would fade away and people would use the infamous Microsoft Network? The only reason Bill Gates is where he is, is thanks to IBM's picking Microsoft up at the right moment - out of luck - and stupid media frenzy about the man.

I am so glad Lucas did not get the rights to Tolkien's Masterpiece, because we would have been treated to endless re-releases and revised Special Editions. I think Peter did a fantastic job.

I wouldn't worry about it, GL himself has stated he is not an avid reader.

I think it shows given that if he'd read the online comments about the travesties he's foisted on us recently he might have a different attitude.

I'm almost certain he cannot for legal reasons - same reason he cannot read fan mail directly: if one of the fans suggests an idea and he uses it on a film, by coincidence, the fan could sue him.

I'll avoid Vista for at least an year, just as the Service Pack 3 or 4, with all the bundles and hot fixes is launched, to fix bugs and security flaws. Also, I'd trust only OEM versions - I would never, ever install this thing over XP, I'm absolutely sure it would do a mess on the drivers, software and register.
