In Revisited, Andywan changed 3PO’s line to “There will be no escape this time.”. I think that’s a neat “fix”, but like I said, I’ve never had a problem with it. Like Zkin said, 3PO has no reason to trust Luke and spill all of his secrets then and there. He does mention something about the Rebellion though… I can’t quite remember how all of that goes right now…

Nah, that’s just more of George’s revisionism. And even if he had the idea back then, it’s not in the movies, so it’s not in my canon.

When R2 shows the message to Luke. I can’t quote the scene, but he acts like he’s only vaguely familiar with who she is. I always assumed that was to hide her identity as a rebel spy, but I can see why it bothers some folks.

I think we’ve seen enough of it and know enough about his sources and his methods to say that this is the best restoration of Star Wars anywhere.
After watching his videos, I don’t see how anybody could even argue that.

Luke talking to R2 seemed more like someone talking to their cat. (“Want some power? Ok…” “Are you all set? Good.”) In TFA (as far as I remember) characters talk to the robots in a conversational way. I’ve only seen it once, so maybe I’m remembering wrong.
Again, it’s no big deal. I didn’t much like the movie, so it’s not something I’m stewing over.

I finally watched The Babadook last night.
