what are your thoughts on this disaster?

You’re not a true fan unless you’ve watched it all the way through, and you must be sober. 😉

I have many times in the past while sober

Lemme guess: all your drunken hours are spent devising great new threads for this chat bored.

No actually i dont and never will drink

Are The Prequels That Bad?

No, they are awesome action packed rollercoasters, but not much more: they show that George isn’t that good as writer and a director.
I mean, the battles, the visuals -amazing. But the inter-personal actor stuff: cringing.
Up to a point where they do live up to the cheesy 30’s serials he is always on about:
E1 was basically cliffhanger to cliffhanger without any plot and E2 & E3 had cringy dialogues and acting

But they lacked something. Good dialogues and proper acting?
He should have Larry Kasdan co-write the scripts and have someone else direct the actors.
Like he did with ESB and ROTJ

This is what I meant.

I myself disliked the prequels. But, recently I rewatched them and looked at them in a new light. I understand that the acting, script, some of the characters, and plot points are pretty terrible, however, if you try to look past all the issues and mistakes, you realize that they aren’t too terrible. I have friends who actually like them. what do you think?

WHAT VERSION OF STAR WARS DO YOU PREFER?
Time

i think the best ways you can go are the GOUT dvd, despecialized edition, vhs, laserdisc, and bootlegs. but the best of all are the despecialized editions. but if you want the best despecialized experience, watch out for which version you pick. there is v.1.0, v.1.5, and v.2.5. v.2.5 is the best way you can go. the other 2 are pretty okay, but v.2.5 has the most in quality, saturation, fixation , etc.
but the others aren’t bad either. i would choose the laserdisc over the GOUT dvd. mainly due to the fact there is no audio digital noise clean up motion smearing. and some are better than others. some are cheaper than the GOUT. the vhs is okay, too. depending on which one you get and it’s quality. so for me it is in order of despecialized edition v.2.5, laserdisc from 1995 and under, vhs from 1995 and under, and the GOUT dvd. but this is just my opinion.
