role of C3PO in new Ep I & II
Time
correct me if i'm wrong, we all love our shiny golden human like robot from OTs. i dont see him much in action in new episodes, i know he was being built those times but what i wanted to see was his (cocky attitude?) but theres more appropriate term for it but my head does not compute at this moment. anyway, my point is these 2 robots played a big role in all first OTs and now they're sorta left in a minor roles just to know they existed then. and remember C3PO said he and R2 was owned by some guy in rebel side? he was created by no other than our own villain in junior form of anakin. well. GL promise our 'walking carpet' the wookie will be playing a part in Ep III, and hoping these 2 mismatch couple of 3PO and R2 returns and create humor as in OTs. i always laugh at the comments from 3PO to R2 thruout OTs.

How do u all like Eps I & II compare to OT
Time
i'm quite impressed by alot of you sharing your opinion and views of the new Eps I and II. personally everytime i watch OT they really entertain me but new Eps are just pretty people with boring story concluding with action-filled last 30 mins do not give me just the same feeling as watching the old OT. we'll wait and see Ep III but i think GL would just push the story to fit with both Ep II and IV. it'd be too much to cram in a short time with overdone clone wars scene where obiwan and darth fight with clones vs. federation. u can't beat the actings of old harrison ford, some ordinary US boy mark hamil and other cast and crews. even our old lovely golden C3PO do not play a big part aside from CGI R2. CGIs do not impress me especially those crab looking and hippo looking creatures nowhere compare to old wampa and other creatures alike in OT. surely the new Eps are kid's fav. look at jar jar, hes just a comedian. and say whatever u want but i like the old lightsaber sequences even tho jumpy power switching on scenes. and no new villian can beat our old darth vader, we all can hear that echo of his breathing, shiny black metal and that cape. ... well i rest my case for now

and if i may add. remember the old james bond movies compare to new pierce's movies i'd prefer old sean and roger's movies. they had better plots and feeling to it. new JBs are like kool gadgets, special CGI effects and sexy chics but just doesnt make me want to watch again and again. the lines in old movies are so memorable. this is the feeling i'm having with new episodes, i dont want to feel like watching AOTC again if i did i'd FF the stupid love scenes and some playing in the green pastures. well, Ep I was ok, i think liam neeson was as good as Sir McGuinness in portraying wise jedis. again, this young anakin ruins the feeling. how could this 10 year old kid was given luck to blow up the super space station just to make him feel 'the force is strong with him' thing. I'M 100% ORIGINAL TRILOGY SUPPORTER. new ones have fancy CGI effects however the plot sux and directing sux with this anakin and senator part. senator is hell too sexy like james bonds' chicks. i still cant believe the space ships in I and II are seemed far better design, sleeker and looks so newer, GL should stick to the plan of all space ships look like they've been used for years old and bashed. now, who didnt like A, B, X, Y Wings? or AT ATs? they all looked so bashed up and worn out but that gave the natural feeling.

Info Wanted: i'm a newbie, with a question - I won an ebay auction for the 1995 VHS...
Time
thanks for your kind suggestions, i guess i'll keep it, it's still in factory sealed.. should i open and watch it at least? would we get really good price on them one day as vintage or something? because for now after years later it's been released i got this set for dirt cheap price at Australian 30 odd bucks. if i keep longer in plastic would i be selling it in future for 10 bucks or 100 bucks?

i agree with the cheesy love makes the AOTC went abit out of whack and the anakin kid shot the space station gave me really cheap impression. GL had had to make this anakin character powerful, full of hatred blah blah blah to accordance with his story. i felt he's forcing it to really hard to follow up the OTs. see how things go really fast with anakin fall in love with this senator. it has to happen. so like in Ep III has to give birth and yoda and obi wan has to flee away, gonna make a big scene chasing out all the jedis i guess. very much predictable. or is it becasue we all already knew the story.

how do u like the feeling of the new Episodes I and II compare to OT. i dont like that anakin actor. he seemed abit more rowdy person than how darth would turn out to be. this young anakin is rude and i think he ruined the story with his ‘love’ scenes in the movie. if he was made to be full of hatred and anger within him, shouldn’t show love and tenderness to go along. he was really mean killing all the sandpeople and i think GL has to make the love scenes for the sake of story but didnt give a good long thinking for editing? and i think this sentor actress is so weak and all dialogues she was saying were like reading from a script not very natural if u know what i mean. the OT has real natural feel to it from every actor/actress. i think the new arena beasts are not so realistic as compare to old beasts in OT but i dont know their names. how do u compare the feelings of watching the new ones made and old ones?

mine would be australian version. i'd like to attach the pics but i need to host somewhere if u could tell me where can i host pics for free i'd attach them in the future. the covers looks something like half shots of luke, obi wan and darth with their lightsabers and just below them has got widescreen picture frames. so i guess u all said its worth to keep it? i was quite regret in the beginning just after i won the auction, i was actually thinking i was bidding for SE Widescreens.

well..mine one has got full shot of obi wan, luke and darth on each covers and at the bottom part has got a widescreen picture shot. so GL claims this original WS do not exist anymore? how could that be? i saw in the interview in SEs, he said the old film stocks are ruined or something? i guess mine's not a boxed set tho. its coming in 3 separate factory sealed covers. is it still worth to keep? so the new DVD releases in 2005 or late this year will be only the SEs?

i just recently won auction from ebay for original trilogy widescreen on VHS (1995) release, i’ve been told its a rare item? and GL wont re-release again, so it’d be wise not to sell it again? i also do have special edition on widescreen '97 release. pls advice me the market price or collectibility of each versions pls? should i keep both or resell them?
