Star Wars Despecialized Editions - Custom Bluray Set (Released)

Just a heads up that I will be removing the edits from MEGA in the coming days. If you are yet to download the set and would like to do so, feel free to PM me (asap), otherwise they will still be available via myspleen.

Thanks to everyone here who chipped in on these forums for your encouragement and assistance in getting these blurays finished. It was a pleasure working on them and sharing them with you all. Hopefully those that downloaded them have enjoyed what they’ve seen.

I’ve decided to retire from fan-editing to work on other things, so if anyone would like to adapt these blurays for future releases of the Despecialized editions, please feel free to do so with my blessing. But the simplest method would be to swap out the new video (when Harmy releases it) with the outdated version using multiAVCHD.

Thanks again, and best wishes,

njvc

Glad you found it 😃

Has anyone here had issues burning the Star Wars Despecialized 50GB to disc? A few people over at Myspleen have been saying it’s been a problem.

I know for certain that some of you have burned the file without a problem, so would be good to figure out where the issue lies.

FYI, one of these people tried downloading the MEGA version and had the same issue, so it’s not just the myspleen torrent that is faulty.

I have now uploaded all 3 fanedits to Mega (Pulp Empire BD25, War of the Stars I and II DVD9, Adywan’s SW Revisited DVD5) for those who would like to create the same 9 disc set that I am currently putting together.

Pulp Empire BD25: features include 5 audio tracks (including 5.1 surround main audio, two commentaries, a podcast interview, and an alternate music track), About this Edit featurette, Alternate ending and Trailer.

War of the Stars I&II DVD9: This double feature (approved by TMBTM) is themed as a trip to a 1970’s grindhouse cinema, playing both of the films. It includes both films and bonus features from each disc, as well as motion menus and chapter index, all themed as a 70’s cinema experience.

Adywan’s Star Wars Revisted DVD5: This is Adywan’s official DVD release, with no changes. I have re-uploaded it for the convenience of those who want to download the full set.

PM me if interested in the fanedit set. Full artwork pack to follow.

Hi all, the full set of discs for ROTJ is now available on MEGA.

FILM/FEATURES OPTIONS

  1. Return of the Jedi Despecialized (Film only) - 25GB
  2. Return of the Jedi Special Features only - 25GB
  3. Return of the Jedi Despecialized (Film + Special Features) - 50GB

DOCUMENTARIES OPTIONS

  1. Return of the Jedi Documentaries - 25GB
  2. Star Wars Trilogy Documentaries - 25GB
  3. Return of the Jedi Documentaries & Star Wars Trilogy Documentaries - 50GB

As previously mentioned, I recommend options 3 and 6 if you are able to download and burn 50GB discs. The ROTJ film discs now feature an HD menu video. This is the only change to the initial release.

Please feel free to contact me to obtain this set, or the SW and ESB sets.

I’ll be uploading the Bonus fanedit discs next, and will update when they are available. Thanks for your patience.

No need to apologise, it’s just easier to update here than in lots of individual messages.

Also, if you’ve already downloaded the first version of the RotJ 50GB disc, you may not want to download v2. The new menu is only a slight improvement, due to the less-than-ideal bitrate of the source video from youtube. The footage is HD, so looks better, but it’s not a significant step up from V.1. Just thought I’d make that clear ahead of links being shared in the near future.

I’m getting quite a few messages asking for ROTJ links. Please know I will update here when everything is available. It won’t be too long now. It has taken longer for ROTJ because of the extra doco discs, and my decision to reupload the 25 and 50GB movie discs with an HD menu. Should all be done in the next few days.

Also, people have been asking about the fanedit options. I am currently working on a new bluray for Pulp Empire, with motion menus and special features, that I will share here for anyone who wants it. I am also making a double-feature DVD9 for War of the Stars (with TMBTM’s blessing) that I am happy to share here also.

As for Adywan’s SW Revisited, I am just using his officially released DVD, so you’ll need to source that one on your own, as I won’t be re-uploading it.

Will update again in a few days, with news of availability for the entire set (with the exception of the fanedits, which will take a bit longer.)
