I would give every book a 5/5, except for perhaps the first, which would get a 4/5

I doubt I could rank them. The only two I think are less excellent than the others are Sorcerer’s Stone and Goblet of Fire. All of the others are stellar in my opinion; not to say those two are not good, but the first is a bit too kidish, and the fourth is almost too weird and odd. The Potter movies were able to make films about magic without making it too hard for general audiences to understand, but Goblet of Fire was a bit too much for me, specifically when he turned into a fish.
Whenever I watch the Star Wars movies, I usually include ROTS, mostly because it is not boring like TPM, and to a lesser extent AOTC, and also because of the nostalgia I have for it (apart from TFA, it is the only Star Wars film that I remember the hype for).
That seems so strange to me. Your generation does not remember the hype of the Phantom Menace, or its flop.
His stuff on Trump is hysterical. I loved the Donald vs. Trump segment.
Come on, do you not understand it’s not hating on the Drumpf name, it’s an attempt to separate the man from the exaggerated image and brand he’s created? The name that people are attaching themselves to without thinking it through at all?
If you watched the entire 22-minute John Oliver piece on Trump, and don’t get that, I don’t think there’s anything more to discuss about it.
Fair enough, but I do not find him or John Stewart funny, so I find it hard to appreciate their commentary 😉
I do love Colbert though.
I doubt that the OT will get remade. The closest we will get is a crappy cartoon (not Rebels, but a cartoon replica of the original story) or a young Han Solo. Similar to how no one will remake the Wizard of Oz unless it is a loose prequel/sequel or a cartoon no one will see.
That’s interesting. Why do you recommend the fan edit of T2 instead of the original?
Oh no, http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/disney-announces-fifth-indiana-jones-875794
I know it isn’t ranking related, but this is the best place for this. I kind of hope that this is a lying article! Who knows though, maybe it will be better if George isn’t as prominent as in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
If Willie wasn’t as annoying, Temple would surpass Crusade.
I was never too bothered by her. I always thought she was kind of funny, but then again some of that could be nostalgia goggles.

Drumpf
In all seriousness though, hating on someone’s ancestral name is just as pathetic as Trump’s comments. Not that I would expect much more from the “faux-news” shows.
If anyone quits hating on Drumpf, I will leave originaltrilogy.com!
You’re just painting me like the media!
- The Terminator - Everyone already knows that this is the best film, and everyone knows why.
By “everyone” you must mean no more than half, because this forum is the first place I have seen so many people who like the first better than T2.
I have not seen a single Terminator film. I plan on seeing Terminator Exodys when it comes out in theatres, and then watching them in reverse order.
Were you visiting Flint Michigan? Why did you not just drink bottled water?
By the way, quit hating on the Donald or I will leave originaltrilogy.com!
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Temple of Doom and Last Crusade are tied for second. As for the Crystal Skull, I can honestly say that I barely remember any of it! I saw it in theatres, and revisited two years ago after purchasing the blu ray. It was tough to sit through but it didn’t make me throw up or anything. I can see why it gets the Star Wars prequel comparisons though.
I have no real interest in embracing pan & scan. That was just the tape of TPM I had when it came out.

compared to the others…
Not really any changes to my knowledge. Apparently one shot is shortened because it was impossible to pan & scan properly. I still am not even sure about that though.

Neat! Looks like a reissue of Star Trek II. That was actually not a bad blu ray compared to the others, but it will still be nice. Hopefully the other five originals will be released in higher quality.
Usually I would say not a chance to things like that, but given that it is Star Wars I imagine the “social media dude” is a huge fan, rather than a bored intern who could not possibly care any less about his job. Where did he get the source though, and what the heck is it?
I just emailed Bob Iger. I will post his reply when it comes!
It was over a year I think.
I would appreciate (to an extant) revisiting the pan & scan version of the Phantom Menace. I have not seen it in over a decade now! The other two prequels I really have no desire to see again as long as I live.
Seriously though, I am curious where that image came from, regardless of whether or not the OUT is on its way. Why use images from a source other than the official blu ray?
Watch them in this order:
Star Wars
Phantom Menace
Return of the Jedi
Empire Strikes Back
Revenge of the Sith
From Star Wars to Jedi
Attack of the Clones
Then watch Rebels, followed by the Clone Wars
Sick to death of Super Hero movies.
Good to hear I am not the only one!
You’re certainly not.
That being said, I’ll give almost anything Spidey-related a chance (especially with Andrew Garfield out of the picture).
I have a special place in my heart for Spidey and Batman. I did not even mind Andrew too much, that being said I only saw the first of his movies, which from what I have heard is the lesser of the two evils.
I have nothing against Marvel or DC or any character in general for that matter, I just feel that they have saturated the market for superheroes.
My father is having a lot of pain from sciatica. I mean a lot of pain. Its almost impossible for him to walk. Its very difficult for him to do normal things like getting dressed and shaving and other stuff. He’s miserable. Nothing seems to be helping right now. They are talking about putting in a spinal cord stimulator.
My father is in the exact same situation. It happened a while back, but it went away and he was back to normal, but it has returned.
