The A-Team Broadcast Restoration (Released)
Time

I did the same with the forces version. Pretty sure its the section were Murdoch is cooking but does quick cut aways to time with a missing soundtrack i.e cooking food flipped, customers, receipts, food flipped, Murdoch cooking ect pretty sure its that part but all music gone doesnt quite look right. Checked my UK Gold recorded version and its the same and thats a few years apart. Looks like Spike stopped at season 2 although they were syndicated versions cut with missing intros.
Best bet may be US or other European TV broadcasts.

Season 2 teasers are from unknown DVD source, they are missing off the UK DVD’s and the Blu Rays but I was trying to trace every release I could and was surprised to find these intact.

The UK DVD’s on season 3 have the teasers but think the blu rays they are missing.

Some of the tv showings across Forces TV on the 1st set of showings was missing some of the teasers across a lot of the seasons.

The missing scene from the pilot I have included is VHS and my quick edit of it is a mix of HD and VHS I have tried mixing as a lot a little silly seconds missing of the blu ray such as a longshot of the plan taking off, additional shot of Lynch, Murdock howling then of course his singing.

The VHS has the jumping jack flash playing all the way through this scene but the blu ray when it does cut back in the music is removed so the back ground noise is silent whilst face and Murdock are talking, this scene is cut different ways on different DVD and blu ray releases.

Guys I have uploaded all season 2 teasers and the deleted scene and a quick fan edit from the pilot onto everyone’s favourite organ, the fan edit of the scene was just a very quick attempt at using the sound source from the VHS to mix it with the HD footage however I’ve had to use a few seconds from the VHS due to missing footage, more could be used but as said it’s just a quick attempt.

Good news, I looked into the Italian DVD sets of the A Team and the music is in place to a degree.

The pilot movie has Jumping jack flash music playing but cuts a few seconds of Murdoch singing it, I assume the dubbing artist didn’t wish to sing, strange how this would play out on the English audio track on the DVD, I downloaded off a fan site the Italian version so no English option but the DVD does so it is better than a VHS rip.

As previous the UK VHS has the full scene that I have, I could upload to You Tube or just the scenes in question and do a private torrent for you?

Assault on Beverly Hills Italian DVD has all the music intact also, there is a poor You Tube version of this but the sound isn’t great and the frame rate is slightly sped up, just search A-Team stagione 3 episodio 24

The Italian DVD’s are out there, season 1 and 4 easy to find but season 3 or Stagione 3 is a little harder amazon have it but very expensive unless you can find it other ways.

It may be worth checking the dutch and german version as these are more available and cheaper classed as staffel 3 or DAS A Team and have English audion tracks they are under amazon.de.

Thanks Lorang, good to know. If possible could you provide a link to the VHS you bought? I’m interested to see which one it is!
As far as sharing files is concerned, I often use Google drive, which is free and easy to set up,but I’ll leave it to you to choose how you want to share if you are able to.

Thanks!

This was the one I purchased

Interesting to note maybe the german or dutch market, I have purchased other tv shows from there that have had TV shows with music intact that has been replaced on UK and USA dvd releases. Examples include Hunter season 1 and 2 full music in place on every episode with lots of big name music, Baywatch again full music intact across all episodes bonus is they have english audio tracks but german or dutch menus.
Could be an option to explore.

My old A Team VHS tape of the full length pilot movie arrived and its uncut with jumping jack flash music intact.

Ive just recorded it to my hard drive but was a lttle static for around 30secs in the the opening of the movie so had to replace it with a colour and sound adjust snippett from the Dvd.

I can edit an MPEG file of just the missing section with the original music and upload some where.

There are quite a lot of UK tapes out there that could be a source for the missing music.

The more I read about the little edits the more I remember and the more it bothers me, the pilot movie been one with the music replacement.

I downloaded the pilot off Google play in HD and still the same cut messed with version so I purchased an old VHS of the pilot to check if the music is replaced in that version, it should arrive in the next day or so.

I loved the pre credit teasers when originally shown in the 80’s and hated it when I found out they where missing off the DVD’s.

The episodes I listed previous have the teasers in place on the episodes.

I only wish I had kept all my pre recorded episodes before I upgraded to the DVD’S I purchased the original release of season 1 & 2 then purchased the small box set version with all seasons in the UK but still have missing teasers.

WestWorld - TV Show into 2 part Mini Series (Released)
Time

I have just finished part 1 of 2 of a fan edit of West World.

The TV series was a tad confusing with multiple time lines shown back to back in the episodes whilst dragging those stories out over 10 episodes.

What I wanted to create was a 2 part mini series but with a story arc that was simple to follow in near chronological order.

Part one was created to show Arnold suffering confidence in Westworld before the opening whilst still suffering the loss of his son and setting Dolores on a game before asking her to do something unspeakable.

We then move forward several years with the fate of Arnold unknown until the close of part one and Dolores suffering flashbacks to something she may or may note have taken part in and questioning her existence.

We then have the arrival of William & Logan which sets the most part of this part one arc with there time and story in Westworld and there paths that are set once they meet Dolores and ultimately Williams turn to the black side which is then rounded off by Arnolds fate.

This will then lead into part 2 with the Man in Blacks arc mixed with Robert Fords and Maeve in the same story line.

Part 1 is 108mins long with 100’s of edits across the 10 episodes to achieve this story arc and with music inserts from the soundtrack.
It’s not 100% chronological as that was not my aim but more self contained but unless you know the timelines to heart you won’t know the odd insert isn’t from that period as I’ve taken care not to include Robert Ford or Bernard or any other main character that will be in part 2.

The fan edit is 720p in stereo I have already made part 1 available on everyones favourite organ, I’m working on part 2 and if any fans want it I will upload when done.

& don’t mention Knight Rider on Blu Ray that has the pilot movie condensed into a single 46mim episide. On the A team they chopped the pilot movie in 2 parts same for Range Rider and bend in the river and cut sequences out of those episodes such as in range rider part 1 when Decker is introduced the sequence had flashbacks from the pilot and season 1 episodes slotted in but missing on the first run of blu rays until fans complained, so ignore the tag line uncut on the box.

Is there anyway to tell if I got the repress? I own the BD set and didn’t know there were any syndication versions.

If you’re talking the A-team set, check the Season 3 episode “Bend in the river” , and see if it’s split into 2 parts.

I have dug out my old DVRs that I recorded off UK Gold ditectly onto my Hard Drive Recorder then I placed them on my Pc to edit out the breaks then back onto DVR, I played Cup O Joes this morning image wise as good as DVD and thankfully I think 90% of them dont have logo’s a rarity for the channel at the time, dont know which part of the episode to check for music replacement?
I thought I had more but afraid all I have is

Judgement Day feature length
Sheriffs of rivertown
Showdown
Bend in the river feature length
Fire
Bounty
Incident at Crystal lake
The squeeze
Moving targets
Knights of the road
Cup A Joes
Breakout
Skins
Timber
Trouble on wheels
The A team is coming
Sound of thunder
Point of no return
Say uncle affair
Crystal skull
Theory of revolution
Quarterback sneak
Without reservations
Dishpan man
Trial by Fire
Firing line

I you want to point in the direction of which part of any of these episodes to check for cuts or music replacements I will.

I checked my planner as I recorded the episodes CH5 aired in the UK over the last few weeks of season 1, afraid to say apart from been in HD they were cut, not only replacement music but also scenes cut out either for time or violence and the pilot film chopped in half and wrong fake opening titles tacked on them inserting the actor who played face in the pilot into the normal season opening titles.

I have selected episodes recorded onto DVD from airing recorded off UK Gold in the UK from several years ago, I may have to check them and the episodes I recorded.

Smith The Mini Series Ray Liotta TV Series Fan Edit

I have redone the TV series Smith starring Ray Liotta into a 2.5hrTV mini series in 2 parts this is an upgrage of aversion I did a few years back with better software and a bit more experience.

I cut all the fluff out and made the edit to the Art Heist and the Bullion job the flow is just on those jobs every thing else is gone so plays like a mini series with a beginning and an end unlike the TV show.

Also added in some stronger language from other ray liotta movies and a complete opening and closing credit sequence.

Added a fewclips on YouTube if allowed.

TV Shows on DVD ruined by music replacement or cuts/edits: Restoring them back to original state (a project) (Update: The Andy Griffith Show: Season 3 DONE)

Hunter had a lot of music replacements in syndication and the DVDs, including reusing season 1's opening for season 2 for no real reason (the theme was the same, the scenes changed). Most of the music changes are understandable and nothing absolutely major, except for the two-parter in season 1 where McCall becomes a singer. The edits on that one are downright painful.

Hunter is one of my favorite shows too. Too bad I don't have any episodes from the original airings, or otherwise, this would be another one I'd be doing in a heartbeat. I have both the 3 seasons released by Anchor Bay and the complete series released by Mill Creek.

What they did to Hunter during the first and second season were unforgiveable, it was like Miami Vice without the music, just killed the show on DVD.

It was so bad I purchased a german VHS tape of the 2 parter the snow queen not that I understand badly dubbed german but all the music is original as show on tv so you get McCall singing and all the other original songs intact, I tried my poor attempts at editing to the dvd version but the time difference from tape to DVD to redub it just wouldn't work.

The only original episodes I Own in good quality with original music are the Shooter Episode and Wanted Dead or Alive that I taped and converted to DVD some time ago.

I also have some rather poorer quality episodes on tape I traded around 5 years ago of selected episodes from the 1st and second season but the picture quality is not great.

Would love for some fan edits of this show.

Superman by Taolar (Formally: Son of Jorel) WORKPRINT AVAILABLE
Time

Glad to hear the project isn't dead after all your hard work that went into the pre release, seems to good of an idea to drop, yes there are lots of fan edits of part 1 and 2 but noting of one independant film in respect of both parts.

And your newly filmed sections were a wonder and slotted in greatly to give a great intro to superman returns, hope you get the time to put the gloss on a near completed project.
