kk650's Regraded Dunkirk (2017) V2 (blanket yellow tint removed from blu-ray) (Released)
Time

there’s the trailer which has better colours than the blu-ray. maybe it can be useful as a kind of template for regrading.

here are some images as comparison (BD vs ProRes trailer)

x265 is nowhere near finished, it outputs worse picture quality than x264 at the same bitrate.

I think HEVC is pretty good and while what you're saying may be correct or true to you or possibly even absolutely true in a general or specific technical sense, until I see you have good reason to say what you're saying, I say it's subjective and I disagree.

its basically the current view in the field. x265 isnt mature enough yet to compete with x264 on anything which should be preserved at high quality.

Like I said, I have that HD DVD and You_Too said that video was not needed, I trust him over everyone else here, not everyone is going to like everything we do, so feel free to remux out our video with your own if needed, BD-RB will do this for you very easily.

Thanks

nah that would be pointless. then I can just watch the normal BD. as I said, the result is really fine.

but aside from that, if you have both sources then making a comparison for yoursefl as verification is always better than just to listen what others say.

is the video bitrate of this BD 21939 kbps of the DC?

in case its this edition, from what Ive read the best PQ of the theatrical cut is still supposed to have the french studio HD DVD and for the DC the spanish Studio canal HD DVD(/BD?). the JPN BN has some edge enhancement compared to the Studio canal and is supposed to have a slightly worse AR stretch/crop.

not meant as complaint or anything, just as a hint that there might be even a tiny bit of room for improvement if you or anyone else feel like getting the very best result possible.

Star Wars 1997 DTS CD-ROMs (Released)
Time

Id like to ask if there have been other DTS cinema tracks transfered from their CD-ROM sources to a usable format we can use for ourselves at home, other than the matrix and that of jurassic park which we can get from myspleen.

are there any more of this kind? what about this Star wars track, was it possible to create that one as well? if so where could I find it?

The Matrix - FULL SCREEN (NOT PAN&SCAN!) - *RELEASED*
Time

thank you for answering. compared to the older Cinema track which was posted separately at myspleen 10 months ago, this DTS-HD MA track has a size of 2.37GB while the old one has a size of 2.11GB (when converting the flac track to DTS-HD MA).

is the reason for that difference in size because the old track was lossy reencode of a lossy track?

thanks again!
