Honestly I didn’t see this in the cinema, was incredibly busy with work at the time and didn’t get round to it. I would not be surprised if it was there in the theatrical release, Dunkirk had a blanket yellow tint in the cinema, I confirmed that with my own eyes. I definately think it looks much better without the blanket yellow tint though.
I’m kinda of surprise we haven’t heard of a TLJ regraded announcement. Last year around this time he released RO just days after the digital release. Leading up a couple weeks before releasing RO he did v2.6 updates of ANH and TESB. Even back in December leading up to TLJ in theaters he did V3’s of the PT. Id figure he would have done something similar. Like having ESB 2.6 with Ian McDiarmid, ROTJ 2.6 with the choice or Yub Nub or Victory Celebration. He also spoke of a V2 of TFA a couple months back. I’m not trying to sound impatient or anything, its just he usually has a regrade announcement just days after it’s release.

As for the Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade, i’ve always felt that the blu-ray transfers were pretty solid in terms of colour and image dynamics, but I do have plans to look into them when I get the chance, see if there is any margin to improve the colours and justify creating regrades for the second and third film.
Sorry about not being around more these past few weeks guys, I’ve been suffering from stress related health issues and have been advised by my doctor to stop doing anything nonessential that is creating stress.
I seriously considered no longer creating regrades but decided to try just reducing my activity here and on other forums instead so I can focus on what I enjoy most, regrading and leave the distribution side of things to the_magicman, see how that works out. I will try to pop in every month to answer PMs and any questions in threads but I won’t be around here as regularly as I have been in the past.

I’ve been hoping that he’d do THE RELIC. But alas, even though he agrees that it needs to be lightened up, he’s not going to do the project since it’s not a movie he enjoys. I can’t blame him, as he has the right to pick and choose his projects. But I can always hope for a change of mind, can’t I? 😃
It’s not that I don’t like the film, i’ve just never watched it.
I naturally priorise working on films that i’ve watched and liked but I will try to watch this film when I get the chance, just haven’t got round to it yet. If I like it, there’s a very good chance that it’ll get a regrade.
KK650, would you be interested in regrading “Thor: The Dark World”? It has a greenish/yellowish tint and is overall very desaturated and dull color-wise, which makes it feel less “alive”, for lack of a better term. I think that a regrade to remove the tint and maybe also bring it somewhat closer to the more colorful look of the first Thor movie would greatly help it.
I’m planning to have a look at the 3D blu-rays of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Doctor Strange over the next month and create IMAX releases for both. I’ll have a look at Thor: The Dark World as well if I get the chance.

Hey KK650, I gave a lil watch of the climax from duel of the fates til the end . I love the deep colors for the new regrade. At least to me the colors had deep quality. The skin tones are defiantly a improvement as well, a lot more natural. I took comparisons using mpc-hc of V2 & V3. Great work, looking forward to the rest.

I know this was posted back in October, but any chance for a higher bitrate version of this? This and the shallows are the smallest file sizes I have of your stuff, and if I had to pick one to get a better bitrate, it’s this one, it’s a freaking classic. fingers crossed for a 22gb version.

I remember converting some of my releases to blu-ray playable versions a few years back and I had similar problems with no video appearing, I believe I resolved the problem by changing the profile of the video to 4.1 in a certain program I can’t remember to make the video blu-ray compatible. Hope that helps. I’ve been using my pc/laptop to stream my releases to my TV for many years now so I haven’t needed to do this process for a long time.
I’m happy to report that I will be taking this on, just ordered the blu-ray from US amazon 😃
