Speak for yourself, I actually enjoy agonizing over canonicity. The convoluted spider web of the overall thing is more important to me than the entertainment factor of any particular story. If a canon story is good, so much the better, but there’s this other more objective seeming value that comes from the idea that something “counts”. The fact that it’s all one system appeals to me enough that I’m willing to put up with a lot, because even the things that suck bring new minutiae to the table to be scrutinized and debated. I’ll admit it can feel kind of masochistic at times, but hey, I’m a consenting adult. I think it’s a huge part of what draws me towards these sprawling fictional universe franchises in the first place, and it’s probably why I never felt any desire to dabble in fan fiction.
Anyway, I read the last two parts of Vader Down today and I’m extremely curious to see what happens next with regards to Dr. Aphra.
