jason is not mistaken, the Dark Jedi/Dark Saga only had those 2 in it. It was not an issue with the transfer or me leaving it out. As for the other file, I will check on my end and send it directly to him for uploading.

JEDIT: In both instances on my HD, the COOV Fancy ANH is the same as it is showing. It was probably how I received it then. I will try and find a replacement. Please give me a little time to do so.

Question for Jetrell Fo and oojason regarding Jetrell Fo’s collection put on google drive.
I’ve been looking around the collection and have noticed two things.
1 - in the Jetrell Cover Collection/Coov/Fancy directory, the file fancy-ANH.jpg is only 181Kb and displays partially. Was it corrupted during transfer somewhere along the line, or is the source corrupt?
2 - in the Jetrell Cover Collection/Dark Jedi Transfer Covers/Dark-Sega Collection directory there are two pdf files. Is it possible that the file “ANH Special Collection insert.pdf” might exist, but didn’t make the transfer to google?
Weirdly mate - although I have a full thumbnail of the Coov Fancy ANH cover - but if I upload it, or open it, it only shows the top 1cm or so - the rest of the art is just greyed-out. Unfortunately I think the file may be corrupt. If you wish, send me a PM and I’ll arrange to send you the file directly - though sadly I don’t really have an answer for what is a very cool cover.
Re the Dark Jedi / Dark Saga - yes, unfortunately there are only 2 pdf files for the inserts (ESB & ROTJ - no ANH).
It might require Jetrell Fo to check on his end for these two files existence and corruption.

Sorry they were not. I followed the thread that you listed and saw that the DVD was posted on a.b.starwars 1959 days ago. The download contained the artwork for just that DVD only.
AvP once created a great DVD-cover and discart for the Technidisc-preservation of Star Wars. Does anyone still have those?
I’m not sure about the AvP version - but Rikter also did a set (around page 76 of this thread).

Thank you to Memorex and alexp120 for the additional information about the meaning of grindhouse. That makes a lot of sense.
A grindhouse is an old movie theater. The Grindhouse versions of the original trilogy are restorations of original theatrical film reels shown in 1977, 1980, and 1983.

One point of interest though, any fan preservation here that was synced to
the “GOUT” discs will be able to use the same audio tracks. In other words
the DTS sound track from Harmys 2.7 would “mux” into the TN1 Star Wars.Could you clarify what exactly this means? Like what is GOUT, what do you mean by “synced to”, what is DTS, what is mux?
GOUT = George’s version of the Original Unaltered Trilogy = 2006 bonus DVDs
mux = multiplex = "join different streams into 1 file"
sync = synchronize
What does “grindhouse” mean in the context of Star Wars?
The story goes George wanted the IV in the 1977 crawl, but Fox told him nobody would understand why the first movie in the series was actually the fourth. So he relented and just had “Star Wars” instead of “Episode IV A NEW HOPE”.
I read somewhere that there was a belief by George and/or the studio that the film might not do very well and would be the one and only Star Wars film; so it was only called “Star Wars”.
The set looks wonderful. I too vote for the tutorial and also the English version.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but in order to obtain the preservation effort ‘Despecialized’ versions, you have to own the official releases. Otherwise the entire project could be jeopardized. Grab the official Blu rays and then I am sure an invite will not be a problem. Cheers.
Hi, I have been a fan of the Star Wars films ever since I saw Star Wars in the theater in 1977. I have copies in VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray. I have the 2011 and 2015 versions, including the steelbook versions.
I have downloaded the MKV versions of Harmy’s and Towne32’s Despeciallized versions already, but would love to have njvc’s versions on blu-ray as well. The work that Harmy, njvc, Dark Jedi, towne32, hairy hen and others has been spectacular.
