Tonight's baked beans were so good!
Tonight's baked beans were so good!
Sad to hear. RIP.
Word on the street is that Affleck will direct a solo Batman film.
Don't need a source because it's all over the web. :P
Great choice in my opinion.

The ST is shaping up to be pretty awesome, if you ignore the BS rumors of force ghosts and Palpatine and such.
I'm not trying to be down on the ST, but other than those rumors what other information has there been?
Kathleen Kennedy is a highly respectable producer, Michael Arndt is a great writer, and J.J. Abrams is a fantastic director (and with him comes more than competent film editors and costume designer). Also, John Williams. Also Lawrence Kasdan.
In terms of the content, all we know so far is that they are going to try to bring back some practical effects, and the that Mark, Carrie, and Harrison are all but confirmed.
Besides that, I think the best aspect of the ST at the moment is that we don't have any information. The potential for these films are boundless. They won't be based on EU stories so we truly don't know what will happen or how it will all end, unlike those prequels that we all love so much.
So yeah, the ST is shaping up to be pretty awesome.
I don't disagree with you, but the thing I was getting at is that we don't really know much about the actual story/production other than a few rumors and not-yet confirmed returns of the OT trio.
I think the new movie can be great. I think it can also suffer from retreading too familiar of ground (Palpatine clones, for example).
I feel sympathetic to Arndt - trying to write a "new" story that doesn't seem like it's borrowing from existing EU must be difficult.

I am the one who posts.
I say screw tradition. December 2015 sounds like an optimum time for release.
The Sith have returned.
The Conjuring
Very well done horror film. Just the kind I like, using atmosphere and suspense really well. Overall a genuinely very good movie.
That idea's been out there for awhile. It could happen, but if it did I'd hardly credit Latino Review for "cracking the scoop".
Those guys just write whatever they can think of to get site hits.
I hate the "episode _" labeling. This of course arose during the prequels when TPM was referred to as Episode 1.
It was Star Wars, Empire, and Jedi. Then it became 4,5,6,1,2,3. I always see this question pop up every month or two around the web.
"What order should I watch the SW movies?"

Bah!
The Cloverfield monster is real.
Congrats to both of them on the little padawan. :)
"We aren't going to follow stories in the EU."
Follows EU.
Of course it's just a rumor, possibly not true.
Nothing says "new trilogy" like retreading old ground. :)

Breaking Bad.
Awesome on so many levels but Badger and Skinny Pete discussing Star Trek was hilarious. [mostly Pete's reactions]
As much as I'm enjoying it I know there's a finite amount of episodes left and once it's done there will be a void. I kind of want to savour it as much as possible.
Tread lightly.

Given the changes made to the Blu Ray versions, I wonder what's on the DVD's?
The stuff made of nightmares!

Has the term "Goodwill" come to refer to any charity or thrift shop?
And while we are on the subject why call it a thrift store?
Surely a thrift store would be one that sell no nonsense long lasting low cost produce in as less as necessary packaging? Stores that promote and work on the concept of thrift (a bit like Woolworth used to be when it started).
The UK terms are 'second hand store' (for things previously owned), 'charity shop' for one raising money for a charity and a 'flea market' for a largish building with small mostly second hand stalls (bric-a-brac etc) ran by many individual sellers.
It was ages until I got the triple meaning of the title to Goodwill Hunting.
As far as I know Goodwill only refers to actuall Goodwill stores and donation sites.
There are other charity/thrift shops such as The Salvation Army.
