Thanks! I was particulary proud of that, even built the soundtrack for that section by scratch by using printer noises!

I'm working on another edit at the moment so hopefully that can be entered as well next time around

Judging by what i've seen, looks like some people either didn't get my T2 edit in time or didn't get them at all

I was expecting this though and just thought i'd get it out there anyway

Just out of interest which of the judges recieved a copy and which didnt?

I hadnt checked the thread for a while but glad I did!

Seems like certain people are being a bit to sensitive! I entered my DVD T2 - Cyberdyne Cut to this competition for a couple of reasons.

1 - To Let other people see my work
2 - To GET CRITICISM!

Come on people, take the rough with the smooth, accept the criticism!

Also i think people are being a little bit excitable with postage costs here! Also costs of printing the discs are next to nothing, the cost of a case and a DVD probably doesnt go over 50p

All in all, I got my edits out with full printed glossy covers, On Disk DVD printed labels, high quality full size cases for less than £15 including postage

A bargain in my eyes!

I'm glad I entered my first fan edit into the contest, Although it is nowhere near the standard of some of the entrys, i'm still glad people got to see it!

Still surprising the amount of misinformation there is surrounding HD!

Basic rules of computing still apply here ie; GARBAGE IN == GARBAGE OUT!

The Holiday Special would be completely unrecognisable if it were upscaled to say 720p or 1080i!

Cant wait to start doing some fan edits in Hi-Def!

Any chance of getting those score cards uploaded? Would love to see how individual dvd's scored, and also all dvd's that were entered.

If any of the judges that recieved my dvd fancy putting it on myspleen or similar then feel free, slow upload here

Just out of interest I found a copy of a 1968 UK TV broadcast (Not of the Holiday Special!) that had been filmed on 16mm ie; someone pointing a 16mm camera at the TV!

Still possible that this is a reel recorded in that fashion, suppose technically he hasnt misrepresented the item if this turns out to be the case.

Itchin to find out!

Disc and cover looked a little too nice??? What was that supposed to mean

Send me your paypal address and i'll refund you the customs charges, I'm sure I recall filling out a form at the post office but it must have been misplaced, seems to have taken ages to get to you, probably due to customs opening the package

Hope you enjoyed watching the edit, hope the cover and disc didn't put you off!

The seller now has a 16mm print of Friday the 13th up for sale, he also mentioned that there was no vinegar smell from the HS reel - This could mean two things

1 - He knows about 16mm reels
2 - He's scouted around ebay and picked the phrase up

Wish the buyer would answer some mails! Might be worth bidding on something of his and then dropping it in conversation!

I always thought somebody might try and do something sneaky with the holiday special. Like transfer the DVD onto an old betamax and ebay it as an original recording

Could this be something similar? A camera pointed at the TV recording of the DVD which nobody could prove was taken in the seventies?
