Wow! Great job Commodore!
This edit is absolutely flawless...in fact, the picture looked better than my good old DVD. The editing itself is great, nothing seemed out of place. Better yet, the bike surfing is gone (nice touch) so this is all good. I have never seen the workprint but I don't see how it could be better than this Ultimate Cut; therefore, this is now my definitive version of Hard Target that I will watch again for sure.
Thanks for sharing this with us!
Hi Eric.
Once again thanks for the kind comments.
Check out the workprint if you can tho you will be sad that we did not get this version in the first place.
Its awesome this is peoples definitive version of Hard Target.
Speaking of the workprint,I read somewhere that there are Workprint A (2 hours and 34 seconds) and Workprint B (1 hour, 58 minutes and 55 seconds). Does anyone know the differences?

PM sent Bkiev :)
Does anyone still have the beta version of this? I guess that would work for me. Please PM me if you do have it. Thanks :)
Does anyone know if links to this edit are still alive somewhere? If so, please pm me with links, I would appreciate.
I'm also looking for Giefer's cut of this movie as well, just in case.
Thanks
Alright! Christmas just arrived early this year, thanks a lot!

If I may...
I have bought from TB a couple of times already and all he asked of me is $5 for shipping (we live on different continents btw) and an amount OF MY CHOOSING for donation, which also covers for blank DVDs.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention I had the option not to buy from him if I felt $5 + an amount of my choosing was a ripoff. That's the beauty of living in a free country.
Alright, have a nice day everyone!
The OP being banned....is the beauty of a community that cares. Have a nice day..... :)
Coming from someone who asks people to send him a disc copy of a Prometheus fanedit (see this thread: http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/PROMETHEUS-Wayland-Shareholders-Edition-update-10-19-FIRST-HOUR-AVAILABLE/topic/14690/page/2/), I find it kind of ironic. I would gladly send you a copy once I obtain it but since you seem to rejoice seeing someone being banned, I wouldn't dare ask you to pay for shipping and a blank disc.

As far as I know, Jdownloader is used for downloading stuff (off Rapidshare, Mediafire, etc). Anyway, that's what I use it for!
I could be wrong though...anyone?
By the way Strangeland, I would really like to watch your edit once you're done...
Eric
Nice project! I really look forward to watching it.
Hey tb1971,
I thought you might be interested in including this video on the next DVD. It's a 27-minute documentary in which we are presented previz footage put together for Prometheus. Enjoy!

Eric
There's a copy of Alien on Super 8mm on sale right now on eBay. Anyone has the tools to transfer it?
I went back too and the sync is still off up to the end of the trailer part. Once the movie really starts, you're right: the synch is perfect. I, too, had burnt it on a blank DVD. Strange :-/
Sadly, I have to say I stopped watching this edit after 8-9 minutes because of a technical issue: the audio is half a second late on the video, which is very distracting. So it seems the synching problem mentionned in a previous post has not been fully resolved after all.
Sorry, I was looking forward to watching this creative edit and spent hours downloading it. I'm sure the editors had good intentions but I couldn't see myself watching a whole movie out of synch. Again, sorry ;(

Surprise, surprise... I might have stumbled upon more Alien 1-4 materials, most of the things we never heard of. Will keep you posted as more info becomes available. It seems Alien Appendix #7 might happen way before Ridley starts working on Alien 5 :)
Great news! And here's an idea for an easter egg: on last weekend's Saturday Night Live, there was an Aliens parody involving Sigourney Weaver and James Cameron (the real ones!). It was not very funny to me but since it's Aliens related, why not include it :)
Hey guys! I just accidentally found out Alien Makers III has been released! There you go:
http://www.zen171398.zen.co.uk/Alien.html
I personally wouldn't mind giving a small Paypal donation to whoever ends up buying it. I've enjoyed all the previous "Appendix" so if I can somehow contribute it would be my pleasure.
By the way Jonno I still haven't received Appendix 4. I'll keep you posted.
Jonno,
I do have something that might be of interest for this next archive. It's James Cameron's student movie called Xenogenesis. It's a little bit more than 11 minutes and features some ideas that would later appear in Aliens (there's a scene similar to the power loader scene).
Let me know if you're interested. And by the way, I'd be willing to take part in a PIF once the DVD is ready.
Eric
Niiiiice! :)
Has anyone ever preserved the tie-in to the Vin Diesel movie Pitch Black? It’s called “Into Pitch Black” and it’s not available on DVD in America. Here’s what I know so far:
-it’s only available on the Japanese DVD with non-removable subtitles
-apparantly, the SciFi Channel presented it at least once (of course, without the subtitles)
-it’s approximately 60 minutes long
-it’s the backstory of Riddick (which people say is different from the video game “Escape from Butcher Bay”)
-it has its page on Internet Movie Database
-most people who saw it say it’s good
Any help finding this would be appreciated! Oh and please don’t refer me to youtube 😃 I want good quality.
Just PM me and I can tell you where you can get the "master set". I prefer to discuss this through PM knowing that any link would be removed anyway. I just got my set last Friday and it's amazing! You can choose between a 23-DVD set (platinum) or a 33-DVD set (gold). The latter has less episode per DVD; therefore less compression and better quality. Both sets have 3 DVDs of bonuses. You also get to choose if you want artwork or not. By the way, I don't think the person "selling" them is making money out of it. The price barely covers for blank DVDs, DVD sleeves / box and shipping, so hopefully I'm not violating any rule by mentionning it here. If so, may a moderator contact me and I will immediately remove this post. Thanks
