my memory isn't that bad, is it? (in SW '77 - Luke misses with the grappling hook?)
Time
The first time I saw SW was at Christmas time. It was playing on ch5, at about 11pm you could tell that it wasn't a very good copy (kind fuzzy).
A few things I remember about it were that it played to just past the trash compactor scene the falcon is flying away...
Restart
A LONG TIME AGO IN A

Well the neat thing was that they played that same tape with the restart 4 times in 2 weeks.
Then next year at Christmas time what should be on TV but STAR WARS it played to just past the trash compactor scene the falcon is flying away...
Restart
A LONG TIME AGO IN A

I got to enjoy watching SW four Christmas's in a row.

Back on topic in that version of Episode IV

I remember Luke misses the grappling hook.

Now before you say I read it in a book; that was the FIRST time I had ever heard of SW

P.S.
I finaly read the book 2 years ago.

Cartoons!

The new turtles cartoon is better as an action cartoon, but it doesn't have the cool factor of the old one. It's too modern, and the dialogue is really horrible because the words "kill" and "die" are allways substitued for words that people never say in that context. Like all of cartoon networks shows anymore.

Nobody ever dies, and the bad guys insist on "finishing" or "destroying" the heroes. Makes it loose some of the impact it should have IMHO.

I watched the old cartoon it was good. I saw one episode of the new one and quit. I agree with Darth Chaltab cartoons are loosing the impact that they once had. (sigh)
The decline of cartoons... what was wrong with classical music and plots that made you laugh well teaching a moral/lesion or were just plain neat. I guess that you couldn't say -Looney Toons- was the best shaper of young minds, but I would take it over a modern cartoon/anime any day.

Help
Time
the thread entitled "REBEL SCUMB presents: the prequel trilogy
rewrite book club!".
Now that I would like to see come back. I have always liked rewrites.
I never laughed so hard. It was great the way JarJar was portrayed. Nice.
I have been a fan of death to JarJar. However, that was a good way to write him. He had a genuine part.

Poor Shimraa. I’m afraid that you will never see this thread thrive in a SW forum.
T'Pol getting married so sad But a good twist.

I am looking forward to the second half; I want to see what happens to Archer, when are the vulcans going to get Surak’s kattra(essence) out of Archers brain...
Ok, I know, I'm going to be shot for encouraging Shimraa. and for joining the darkside of -Enterprise-

I'm so MAD that I could, could, could run out and, and um...

I could buy the SE Trilogy. Come on people, would you rather have nothing?
Don't think I'm biased toward SE, I not. I love the ORIGINAL trilogy. I don't like what Lucas did to "improve" SW but I can put up with it. The changes aren't horrible, just different.
