I checked several rental places yesterday but could not locate the superbit version. After looking at the comparison at dvdbeaver I don't think the image quality of the superbit is better. Different yes but not better in my opinion.

I just noticed the taxi driver soundtrack is on usenet, 18 regular cd tracks and one 60 minute track of the end credits, not sure what that is exactly.

Besides that,good to find out who the original source for the commentary is. I'll see if i can find the suberbit version somewhere, i'm quite sure i saw it at either the library or some other rental place a while ago.

It is already out there and in active PIF chains, it takes a while to get all my DVD's uploaded (I've uploaded about 120 DVD's to date) BUT with the HDTV2DVD why get the LD version? But on that note how is the HDTV2DVD version coming along??

I guess it's mostly the extra features people are interested in. Maybe a torrent of just the extra features from the LD would be an option? The matinee HD version is still available on usenet(with giganews anyway, 74 days old now) so it's still possible to get the HD version but the extra features are nowhere to be found.

I have located the commentary track in mp3 format i downloaded a while ago. Anyone still want this ? I did notice the commentary track is split into 32 seperate mp3 files so it needs some work to put together.

I have the E! THS on poltergeist, i think it runs for about 2 hours including commercial breaks. It covers the whole poltergeist series, including the tv series. If you want i can look it up and upload to usenet or torrent it. I recorded it from a digital broadcast, quality is good.

I was wondering about super pup also after i saw that clip in a superman documentary. I think the full super pup clip from the documentary is on youtube but i'll check later this week if the clip in the documentary is longer.

I just found out that Star! is broadcasting a show called The Directors. I'm not sure if this is the show you are all talking about but i'll see if I can record some episodes. Star! is available in the UPC digital pack here in Holland. In the next few days they will be showing episodes about Harold becker, Ed Zwick, Carlk Franklin and Jan de Bont.

Is anyone still interested in this ? I recorded this some time ago. Quality is good , recorded directly to DVD from digital broadcast. I also recorded the E!ths Poltergeist behind the scenes which is not as good as the Jaws bts but still nice to watch.

I've been visiting this forum for a long time and this could well be the first time i could be of some help. I have the original Thai release of Ong Bak and also a fan subbed(i think dutch, english, french, german poorly translated btw) version of the Thai DVD release. I think both are in PAL format. If you want me to look these up to see if there's anything useful on the discs for you let me know.

Update: unsubbed disc: anamorphic, running time 1h44m (PAL) so probably the same cut as you have. It has a 5.1 ac3 soundtrack, 338 Megabytes in size. As far as i know this is the disc as it was first released in Thailand. It has all the original menus which are in Thai and English which is strange as the movie itself has no subtitles.

Subbed disc: anamorphic, running time 1h44m (PAL), 5.1 AC3 soundtrack 340 MB in size. Like i said this one has fan made subs in Dutch, English, German and French.

Also, if you want to have subtitles checked or added let me know, i know many Thai people.
