Idea: The Sopranos - Episode Preservation (Fairuza Balk)
Time

This one mightbe a weird one, but a few Seasons back, I remember watching the Sopranos Season finale and seeing Fairuza Balk on the episode. However, when the Episde was replayed later that year on repeat, they replaced the entire scene with a new actress. The DVD release did not include the scene, but I always thought it would have been cool to have on DVD. Anyone get this one?

Idea: Twin Peaks - season 2 preservation?
Time
Season 2 should be out by end of the year or early next year. They already completed interviews for the set last year. What would be good is to mke an extras DVD of the Log Lady Intros (Pilot version was missing from the International sets) and there is no guarantee that they will be included on the new Season 2 box set from Paramount. Also there's the SNL episode with Kyle MacLachlan that is just priceless. That and the Julee Cruise video.

I used to have a lot of these on VHS, but alas, I have lost my copies over the years.

Info: 'Lost Highway' - on Universal HD Tomorrow Night - a Preservation Opportunity
Time

Hey all. Anyone that gets Universal HD and has the means to record in HD may want to tune into Universal HD tomorrow night (Friday Feb 23rd) at 11pm. They will be playing Lost Highway in HD. The assumption is that they will be using the HD transfer that Lynch approved back in 2001. The film has yet to be released in the US. (on DVD)

True, a very good transfer is available by MK2 via the French Region 2 DVD, but it’s in PAL and not sure if the HD Broadcast verision will be better or worse. Would be nice if someone could grab this one.

Phineasbg/ HIGHLANDER II: Extended Versions (Released)
Time
Which shield footage are you going to use? The Blue or the Orange Shield? One thing I like about the new Lionsgate version is the transfer. Plus I think they may have done some CG on some of the wires from the first fight scene with the guy flying around. I'll have to check it again. I think that hiding wires is always a good thing. Also, the sex scene with Madsen seemed a bit steamier in the Lionsgate version. Can't remember if it was the same in the Renegade cut.

I would say if it was at all possible to cut the entire Zeist/Earth storyline, that would be the first one I would do.

Just my 2 cents.

Info: Where do you draw the line?
Time
I for one own Blade Runner 6 times. 3 on VHS, two on LD, and 1 on DVD. Once the oficial DVD is released, I will buy that as well and make the collection into 10.

Darkfox, tell me what is the difference between someone doing a HD Tivo of the film and leaving it on their box until the official DVD comes out and someone moving that copy to a DVD to free up space on their Tivo?

I see no difference in the matter.

Blade Runner HDTV (Released)
Time
Well, watched this one from start to finish last night and all that I can say once again is WOW. I had a little problem with my player that seems to skip between what I suspect is the layer change, so I will probably look for a new player.

One thing I thought aboutis that if anyone decides to make a 2.0 of this, it would be cool to have the theatrical audio during the Voice Over parts. I can' remember how many there were, but I think it would be a nice touch for nostalgia.

Of course I'll never miss the happy ending. But a hybrid between the VO and the directors cut would be pretty cool.

So once again, thank you digitalfreaknyc for supplying us with something to hold us over until the official release. You kick some serious ass. Mad props to you my friend.
