So here is a philosophical consideration to be shared...if one were to determine that one's existence in the world were actually a detriment to one's own entourage, while equally considering that one's absence might pose a different problem of similar magnitude is it more noble to stay the course or abandon ship...?
For example, if one were to discover that one was an insatiable gambler whose persistent existence could only ruin normal familial stability, while at the same time recognize that one's absence would allow for one's newborn child to grow up without a close paternal figure is it preferable to cede to the demands of the present or to linger still further to accomplish the goals of a future tense?
To clarify, in the above scenario there can be no realistic thought of a cure for the disease in question and no real doubt as to the eventual discord with which the child might grow to view the one who lingered on seemingly for his/her sole benefit...thus given that both paths end in pain is it best to cut it to the quick so that it might be swiftly done, but be long in duration; or is it preferable to allow this given harm to fester, however allowing that any eventual parting might be considered more of a final blessing than a curse...?
OK maybe I'm not getting something, but why doesn't the gambler just tell his family he has a problem and get help? What's keeping him from doing that? Is it his own pride? If its his pride then he's at fault for whatever happens. It seems like he should be able to just face his problems instead of choosing between two types of running away (either permanently or continuously by being in denial).
Also, are you talking about yourself? Do you like to gamble and you just don't want to come out and say it or what?
Gambling addiction is far more complicated that deciding something, just because there are no drugs involved it doesn't mean that the addiction isn't hard. If it were so simple as just ''stop or seek help'' it wouldn't be called an addiction.

Okay, thanks a bunch.
Both of those were hugely helpful.
Audible was fine until my iPod died and now I don't have the money to replace it.
Thanks again.
Here is the list of compatible devices, there is a drop down list on top that will let you select the brand of the mp3 player
http://www.audible.com/dc
You can buy a cheap used one and keep it as audible only device/Backup MP3. I had the GoGear spark but the 4gb version and it worked very well.

Thanks for the reply!
I tried that several days ago, it didn't work. I uninstalled my anti virus, (which lately has seemed to be getting bloated and slowing the system down) and things finally slowly corrected themselves last night. Installed the anti virus I use at home, which does the job with a minimum of fuss. :)
Windows 7 did decide to go update happy, and downloaded all the optional stuff as well, but I'm not complaining. ;)
Glad to hear all is running smooth again :)
I wonder...
at least is not necrophilia

Hey this may seem like a stupid question coming from someone who builds his own computers and it may be a little off topic but this is the first time it has come up for me and I figured that someone here may be able to help.
Does anyone here know of a floppy drive that will work with Windows 7? I don't care if it's internal or external, I found a box a while ago filled with old floppy disk that have some old stories I worked on back in the day and I have program to convert them so Open office will be able to read them but so far all of the USB floppy drives I have tried just will not be read by Windows 7 and that is the only computer I have at the moment.
If you know of a floppy drive that will work with W7 and could point me in it's direction I would be grateful.
Thank you for your time.
Windows 7 does not have floppy support, instal a virtual machine with Windows XP or below, a 4GB HDD and 512 MB of RAM should do it for the VM.

I have an audible account and I buy one book a month from them and it is a great value, there is just one problem I can't listen to them when I am away from my computer in my bedroom because I can't stream and my iPod died. I can download them just fine but that is it.
I have tried googleing ways to remove the compy protection so I can move them onto my generic MP3 player but nothing that came up on the search seems to work. I know this is a long shot but I was wondering if anyone here had ever had to remove the copy protection from a audible file and if so how you did it.
Thank you for your time.
I worked on audible a few years ago and you can't remove the protection (or maybe you can but is a pain) but there is a list of ''supported playback devices'', some of them are cheap MP3 players so that is your best bet.
In your computer go to: ''C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download'' and delete everything you see in the ''Download'' folder, do not delete the folder itself just the content, then reboot and try again.

We need the Trilogy to be restored in 28K, period.

I don't think you can get 28K out of a 35mm film AFAIK, somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Kylo Ren is boring design wise. Another male villian. I wanted Ventress or anything different then what we've seen before.
I agree. Hopefully, Kylo won't be the only darksider to show up in this trilogy.
Don't forget Uber and the rule of two
'' Always two there are....no more...no less. A master and an apprentice.''So yeah, at least two
Fuck the Rule of Two and fuck the Sith. Make Ren a simple darksider and leave that PT garbage in the PT.
Fuck the PT? what a lack of taste, Jar Jar alone is worth the PT. No wonder why Panasonic is way better battery brand than you, ''PT garbage'' pfff unbelievable.

To answer another question, if I can get the space, I am 90% confident that the restorations will be complete by mid next year.
I am 90% confident that you will do it by that date. Awesome!

Actually the opening shot should be Jar Jar attempting to clone Vader out of his midichlorians-filled bones in a Gungan facility, he is the one that found the lightsaber so he put Vaders bones inside the saber as a misa hidden spot but he was so hook on wookie-crack that he gave the whole thing to the vicar who was his dealer, Kylo Ren just wants to finish Jar Jar's task and the new trilogy is all about that. If you think about it that is the only acceptable plot and if the opening shot doesn't feature Jar Jar then I'll walk out.
NO JAR JAR = NO STAR WARS
NO MIDICHLORIANS = NO STAR WARS
I won't miss you but good luck anyway! :)
I salute the 27 million Soviets that died in WWII and defeated the Nazi War Machine!

Full interactive compilation of the currently rumored plot elements. (a more organized and easier to read version than my previous post about this)
http://spoilerboard.blogspot.de/2015/05/welcome-to-star-wars-force-awakens.html?m=1
Contains confidence levels for each plot point, as well as two different versions of Act III since nearly all of that last part of the film is speculation.
My bets, again, are that about 20% of the stuff is correct. I think most of it sounds awesome to me, while others parts make me cringe (hopefully the stuff that is all fake).
That was entertaining, overall sounds great but a lot will depend on the execution of the history, visuals, dialogue, etc... Each day that passes I feel more excited about the TFA but still I hold some skepticism until more information is revealed.
one, two, three, four, five

IDK why, but for some reason it seems amazing how long the VHS format lasted (from the 70s to around 2006). My family didn't have a DVD player until about 2005.
I got a VCR in 1994 and it still works, it is an ''Emerson'' brand but we never switched to DVD, basically the computer is a DVD player anyways so there was no need to buy a stand alone for the TV.

So many great insights into the production of the movie, and very much worth a full read. Note some small segments of it had been posted previously.
Out of everything, what some are saying makes me so confident that this will be great, but I've really got to tell myself to hold back the hype train.
Nice to see that Michael Ardnt and Lucas really had essentially no influence whatsoever on the movie.
Great article! My favorite parts are:
Discussing the shoot, Abrams was quick with praise for his young cast but seemed most excited by his encounters with ghosts of Star Wars past: “The whole thing was as surreal and impossible as you can imagine. I mean, walking onto the Millennium Falcon set?” (That would be Han Solo’s iconic spaceship.) “To be on it, it’s insane. There were people who literally cried when they walked onto that set. It’s a strange thing, the effect it has.”
and
By all accounts things went smoothly aside from one serious hiccup, a month in, when a part of the Millennium Falcon set fell on Ford and broke his leg. Production was held up for two weeks, but in Abrams’s mind there were unexpected blessings. “In a weird way,” he said, “it was the greatest gift to the movie that, once it was clear Harrison would be O.K., the way that the crew came together. I’ve never seen a crew bonded like that. And when Harrison came back, when I say he came back better and stronger than ever, I can’t overstate that. There was a fire in his eyes that you see in the movie.” The hiatus also gave Abrams time to take stock of what he was doing and rethink some sequences that normally would have had to be fixed in postproduction or via expensive re-shoots.

Greenpenguin the best username? Pff you see Frink boy? That's a joke. Greenpenguin Is good at most but not the best.
Now that we all agree on the matter I suggest that this thread gets closed.

None of the releases so far has been completely GOUT-free and I'm afraid v2.0 of Jedi won't be either but the GOUT presence should be absolutely minimal.
Is not possible to use the 35 mm scans to replace the GOUT? I was under the impression that at this point the GOUT will be gone on future releases... also I'm wondering how much content will be from the 35 mm scans, how much is from the Blu-Ray and how much of the GOUT, is there a ratio/ percentage distribution?
dclarkg is THE BEST username here, period. Some may say that my opinion is biased but trust me, is not.

Is there no reason to use the 2011 Blu-ray? I was under the impression that it was your base video for all three films.
That was before the team -1 got the 35m prints, if I'm not mistaken all projects from now on will be based on original 35mm negative scans that are OOT. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.
