Blotto: The Spectacularly Strange Spidey Collection
Time
Hello,
I am currently working on a collection of fun and odd Spider-Man related video. The purpose of this fan-made, not for profit project is to gather some of the ol' web-heads stranger media appearances. So far I plan to include the following-
-Blotto - the episode of the 1967 animated series, which is as strange as strange can be.
-Spider-Man Marriage Ceremony - Sure, the comics say it never happened, but I have video proof. Footage of the 1987 wedding ceremony between Spidey and MJ filmed at a Met's game. I also have a Good Morning America appearance featuring Spidey and Stan Lee.
-An episode of the Japanese Spidey live-action series
-Some Electric Company Spidey Super Stories shorts
-a Marvel Universe Thanksgiving Day Parade appearance
-the trailer for the 1970s live action Spidey TV series
-The Ramones' music video for Spider-Man
-DJ Ozma's Spider-Man video (need a high quality version)
-fan films

What do you all think of this project? I envision it as a two-disc set. Any suggestions as to what should be on here? Does anyone have any weird Spidey stuff worth including?

The Plissken Files Project (* unfinished project *)
Time
There are 2 DVDs I have now--all featuring John Carpenter interviews. There's the EFNY featurette from the VHS and Laserdisc, a They Live Japanese-subtitled featurette, a 1/2 hour "City Lights" program on Big Trouble in Little China, a 1/2 hr program (I believe the Rona Barret show) interview with Carpenter, Romero and Jeannot Swarc, and a bunch of other stuff. I can send these to someone who has the ability to rip what they want relating to the Plissken Files, or this can just morph into a John Carpenter Files project. I'd say all the stuff I have totals about 4 hrs.

Info: The Making of The Empire Strikes Back (Michel Parbot)

I gotta say, I find this whole thing very frustrating. I appreciate Darth Neo's desire to not break his promise and certainly understand and respect that. But I much rather see the thing then read a website about it. Nevertheless, I eagerly await what he comes up with and appreciate his involvement with this forum and sharing what he can, as he is not obligated to even let us know about this to begin with.

That said, I hope another source comes through, as this is the Holy Grail for Empire fans...

Idea: 'Rent - The Broadway edition'
Time

Um, seeing how this is mainly a sci-fi oriented site, I hardly imagine anyone cares, but is there any interest in a quick and easy fanedit of Rent?

Here’s all the would need to be done, get the DVD, eliminate the “1989” from Mark Cohen’s opening narrative (the play was meant to be set in the 90s). add all the deleted scenes and songs back in from disc 2, eliminate the current “watching the film” ending with the alternate on-stage ending from disc 2 (which nicely bookends the film). That’s it, quick and simple right?

Well, not if I don’t have access/ability to make a fan edit. Damn. But you guys do, so if there’s interest, maybe we can get something going.

As for supplementals, there were a few specials that aired on encore, A&E, etc around the time of the film’s release. There’s also a ton of clips from the 10th anniversary of Rent concert on Youtube that might be transcoded.

Is there interest in this? If so, let’s do it.

Not to further complicate things, but I just found this list online:
http://www.geocities.com/hollywood/hills/1742/specials.html
That guy has both SPFX and Making of Empire Strikes Back available for trade. I'm thinking that perhaps this may not be as rare as we think, which is good because maybe we can see it.

Additionally, check out:

I remember trading with this guy years ago, and he was great to deal with. My point is that while he doesn't have the Making of Empire special, he does have a ton of stuff related to Empire that I haven't seen anywhere else. I have to go through my old Star Wars VHS compilations (of which I have 8 or so) to see what of this stuff I have to share with all of you. (And especially those of you who can turn VHS to AVI or DVD).
