You know what would be nice for you to do? An extended and updated version of the New Essential Chronology, in which you keep the Clone Wars Multimedia Project as the real version of the Clone Wars, but in which you include all the EU stories that were written from 2005 to 2012 (apart from TCW and related media, indeed), as well as every SWTOR expansion up until Knights of the Eternal Throne.

I may, or may not, be working on something….but it is very slow going

Time

It all started innocently enough, breaking down the Labyrinth Of Evil and the Revenge Of The Sith timeline in relation to other stories.

And, because I’m insane, it’s ended with a 1000+ page fan edit document that includes the following (parts of, or in their entirety):

Labyrinth Of Evil
Republic Commando: Order 66
Republic Commando - video game level synopsis
Reversal Of Fortune
Republic #74-77, 81-83
Dark Times #1
Reversal Of Fortune
Millennium Falcon (novel)
Evil Eyes (manga)
Wat Tambor story (from Visionaries)
Sithisis (from Visionaries)
To The Vanishing Point (Clone Wars Adventures)
Dark Lord: The RiseOf Darth Vader
Orders (Clone Wars Adventures)
Order Of Outcasts (Clone Wars Adventures)
Descent (Clone Wars Adventures)
Memory Loss (UK Titan magazine)
Republic Holonet News (insider article)
Lone Wolf (short story)
Incognito (short story)

Obviously I’m not about to share the document around, plus I do this kind of thing purely for my own enjoyment, but here’s a link to the contents if you wanna see how it all breaks down:

The Sith Revealed 2.0 (Released)
Time

Hi guys, I'm thinking about doing a version 1.0 of this. guess the blu rays piqued my interest again (although it's always been at the back of my mind)

but I'm looking for some advice on the technical side of things. Firest I need to know how to make the best quality DVD rip to use as possible, then I'll probably be using Womble since thats what I've always used. Plus. I've just found the picture-in-picture effect, which helps. But I'm interested in how to make everything the same ratio, so that when I switch from the movie to a BTS clip, I can keep the same black bars top and bottom...

Star Wars coming to Blu Ray (UPDATE: August 30 2011, No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!)
Time

well I watched AOTC blu today (well, i say watched...i watched the first 10 minutes and the last 30 minutes, fell asleep in the middle....been a long day)...and it looks just awful!

the battle of geonosis looks absolutely terrible, everything looks fake. the actors look so far removed from their digital surroundings that it just yanks you right out of the movie. Space Jam looks better!

How did you get it so early?

Was dispatched from play.com on weds.

That said, I have only watched TPM so far (working through them in order, with my oh-so-tolerant wife...well, it was her who bought them for my birthday haha) and the picture quality is fantastic.

So were the rumors of DVNR greatly exaggerated? It would be great if at least the prequels had nice-looking transfers.

I haven't got the best eye for this kind of thing, but focused on the convo between yoda and mace at the end of the film, and it really isn't as waxy and smooth as people have been suggesting

Anyway, overall, very happy so far and can't wait o see what the rest looks like

Have you checked the deleted scenes yet?

only the ones for TPM, going to work through it movie by movie, and save the best til last. the ones for TPM aren't the best mind

well my set came today...

I've avoided posting in this (or any other) thread regarding the changes.  I'm not particularly keen on them, but it's a foregone conclusion these days that lucasfilm (and I'm not even sure it's down to GL these days, I'm sure he just gets a memo with an idea that one of the staff gets, shrugs, and goes "yeah, why not?") will keep tampering with these films.

And like so many others here, I already have numerous choices should I want to watch a preferred cut

That said, I have only watched TPM so far (working through them in order, with my oh-so-tolerant wife...well, it was her who bought them for my birthday haha) and the picture quality is fantastic. sure the cgi sticks out like a sore thumb when it's mostly a live action background (i.e. the entrance to mos espa), but when reversed, like the naboo plains battle, or the space battle, it looks fantastic.

The deleted scenes for TPM ain't up to much either, but there was enough there that I hadn't seen before, and plenty of material should I decide to make "The Menace Revealed". just a shame all the bonus docs have that crappy yellow border

Anyway, overall, very happy so far and can't waitt o see what the rest looks like

LOST: In The Detail. Chronological edit. Completed 10 years ago but never shared in full....until now (Released)
Time

Another update:

Here's episode 9 of season 0.

In this ep.  find out there's a power struggle on the island and Desmond decides that the religious life isn't for him. Also, we visit Hurley, Michael, Daniel and more.

Just a note that the Desmond segments in this episode and the next are probably the least coherant parts of my entire edit, due to the context in which these flashbacks actually took place.  I have done my best to make it as unjarring as possible whilst still trying to continue a narrative, but only you can tell me how sucessful I've been.

This episode features a huge ensemble of our favourite characters.  We visit Charlie, Kate, Miles, Sun and Daniel.  Told you it was jam packed.

But there's more.....a team of french scientists find themselves washed up on the island, and Sayid has to make some difficult decisions in Iraq.

my whole angle is that although its impossible for fans of the show to approach this without foreknowledge, for a new viewer they losties would be taken at ther word, and therefore really would be survivors of a shipwrecked salvage boat, with the big reveal happening at sometime in season 4 when they actually to travel back in time, since no mention of time travel is ever made in my early episodes
