christianluce69 - registering with 69 in the username when your’re not born in 1969 is very funny and no-one has done this before. Not the many, many trolls, wums and comedians on the internet, nor past members on here.

However, with your humerous username… don’t be surprised if others on here join in and the mick a little with you (not at you - with you). If Snooker posts a ‘get out’ gif try to take it in the lighthearted manner in which it was was posted - you may find it better taking it in that context - instead of trying to pull them up on it.

Otherwise the moderators on here could come to conclusion you may be a troll or wum - and your stay here will be a short one.

And that would be a shame - as this seems a decent & promising thread started by you.

Lastly, you can joke with me but if it seems like me not understanding the difference between a joke and reality is enough for people to accuse me of being a “troll” then that is pathetic! Those people shouldn’t banish someone and write them off as a troll just because they can’t come up with clever comebacks or sense when someone is joking with them.
Snooker and TV’s Frink, don’t take it personal. I didn’t know how to react. That’s all. No harm taken here. Give me a chance. I’m cool.

I suggest you read my words again - as I haven’t accused you of being a troll. I was letting you know with having newly joined here, with that username and then taking issue with members’ lighthearted replies to you… that could lead the moderators to think you may be one.

Despite seemingly pulling me up to make a ‘pathetic’ jibe - and taking my words out of context to come up with ‘people shouldn’t banish someone and write them off as a troll just because they can’t come up with clever comebacks or sense when someone is joking with them’ - which no-one is saying at all - there is no harm done.

You’re certainly being given a chance - so let’s hope you are cool.

Anyway, back on topic…

Touché my friend! Touché!

The combination makes it best. They all complement each other. A Han character would be more dull if there was no Luke or Leia to balance it out and vice versa. I like them all for different reasons.

Best answer so far.

It’s a bad answer! Of course the combo is what makes the film great, but the question is: Which one do you like best?

Wrong! It’s not a bad answer, it’s a bad question with no correct answer except that one. :p

It takes graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate to make s’mores, therefore they are all three equally important to the s’more.
The chocolate is made even better by the marshmallow and graham crackers, but is clearly the best one of the three.
Han is the chocolate.
:p !

I agree with TV’s Frink. Marshmallows are better! Han is the marshmallows, not the chocolate. Leia is the chocolate. Since the graham cracker is the least tasty of the 3…that’s Luke! They all need each other to compliment one another but s’mores can survive without the graham cracker. It would be weird but could work! S’mores without the marshmallow however…that’s just sacrilege!

Cool. I’ll say the same thing to you that I did to TV’s Frink. No problems on my end. My post was kind of a weird post anyway but, like I said in the post, I was always curious if more people out there liked Han Solo or Luke Skywalker better, and despite that weird guy who keeps talking about how hot Carrie Fisher was, male or female, I always considered Leia a heroine as well. That said…I wanted to give the choice of the 3 to kind of get an idea how everyone felt about it. Me personally…Han and Leia are tied. I always found Luke to be whiny! That’s just me. Anyway, even still, thanks for partaking in my post.

Never took it offensively but in real life, I was always rather “socially inept.” Though I am well into my late 30s and should therefore be well-skilled in the handling of “joking with someone,” or “micking” them as you call it, forgive me if I am not. When you deal with years of bullying from essentially age 5 to age 23…(my parents promised it would get better AFTER high school…sigh), then naturally while you may be skilled and mature in areas of a less social nature and still “a little slow” in areas of a more social nature.
In short, forgive me if I still have a mild difficulty with “comebacks” or telling if a person is “micking” me or if they are serious. It’s nothing personal and I am still a nice person. I’m not a completely lost cause otherwise I wouldn’t have a wife and son right now that I totally adore.

You are right about them complimenting each other. I wonder if Lando Calrissean can fit into that complimentation

Welp, guess I don’t need to bother with this thread anymore.

And I’m guessing you weren’t born in 1969.

I wasn’t born in 1969. I chose 69, 'cause ya know? The sexual position. Heh heh. I’m a dork.

Cool picture! What is it of? Did my thread offend you or something? Why do you care if I was born in 1969 or not? Why did you say you don’t want to bother with my thread. Sorry if I sound dumb. I guess I’m not getting your humor.

He thought that what you said was obvious. Remember that guy who said “the planet’s one big city” in TPM? That is what the picture is of.

Oh cool! Truth be told, I never saw TPM. I guess I missed that one.

Ok you’re back in my good graces.

I don’t know how I wound up in your “bad” graces in the first place! You never answered that question. All I did was post about Star Wars heroes and suddenly, me not having been born in 1969 seemed to piss you off! Hehe. It’s ok Dude! Chill out.

I guess I’m glad I’m in your good graces. Sorry I wasn’t born in the year you like.

This is a Star Wars site Snooker, I don’t have to “get out” as the guy in your black and white picture is motioning. So, I’ve never seen the movie he posted! Sue me! Hehe! I’m sure I’d enjoy it. There are people out there that haven’t seen certain films.

I guess I’m a weirdo who likes Luke’s character more than Han’s in all of the movies. His character is so relatable, while Han is really cool but not so relatable.

True…I didn’t hate Luke and you’re not weird! I just didn’t think Luke held heroic qualities. It drove me nuts every time Yoda tried teaching him something on Dagobah and he would 2nd guess him! I mean…come on…Luke, he’s a Jedi Master! Shut up and listen to him!

I always thought Owen had good common sense. Luke should have listened to him.

Might have had a profitable moisture farm and could have retired to a proper tropical island.

Luke was a crybaby! He didn’t listen to Owen like you mentioned, he whined and questioned Yoda’s teaching, and even though this site has to do with the original trilogy, Luke was a coward in the new film…episode 8. Kylo Ren was his student and when he turned evil, Luke turned his back on the the Jedi! I mean…come on, Vader was Obi-Wan’s student and Obi-Wan didn’t turn his back on the Jedi! I liked Luke the least out of all of them.

The heroes never did anything for me, but if I had to choose one, I’d go for the princess. Back in the day, Carrie Fisher was really something special to look at.

That’s not what the question is. Unless you just like looking at yourself in the mirror or something.

Thanks TV’s Frink. While I did commend Slavicuss on his answer to my question…you are correct. There is more depth to the heroes than looks. Good call! What hero are you most like or do you gravitate to TV’s Frink?

Leia ruled! I still choose Han but Leia was totally awesome! I think I like her better than Luke to be honest! And Chewey is cool too! Good answer!

Since this is about the original trilogy, this is an opinion question for everyone: what type of hero do you feel you most gravitate to? The scoundrel wreckless, ladies-man charmer Han Solo type hero? or do you like the more kind-hearted, combative, sensitive but tough Princess Leia type hero? or lastly, the nerdy, force-oriented, passive, somewhat stubborn Luke Skywalker type? Which one and why?

I will say: I see myself or have always gravitated toward the Han Solo type hero. He reminds me of a John Wayne/Clint Eastwood badass type but in outer space and he seems to be a smooth talker who always gets the girl.

Which one do you feel your most like or do you gravitate to? Why?
