Wonder Woman: No Ares Twist (Released)
Time

Not to nitpick too much but the character in question is in fact Ares, not Hades. Ares is one of the sons of Zeus and the god of war (Diana’s half-brother in this movie). Hades is the lord of the underworld, Zeus’ brother which would make him Diana’s uncle.

At one point Ares was even Diana’s grandfather in the comics (makes sense, right?).

Isn’t the bearded pilot, in the beginning, the actor who played the cop in the original Heroes TV show?

Greg Grunberg is his name. He is Abrams’ childhood friend which is probably why you see him in most of his projects… The Force Awakens, (reboot) Star Trek etc. That’s pretty cool… not leaving your friend hanging.

4K restoration on Star Wars
Time

I guess I’ll be “that guy” and at least give kudos to Avatar for giving me the only great 3D experience I’ve had in the theater. The movie itself isn’t anything special but a decent alternate take on Pocahontas. But I still remember literally everything popping out of the silver screen, not just a single arrow. Since then I’ve pretty much given up on 3D because majority of the movies just do the “background layer / characters in front” gimmicks.

Oh boy, take another look at Reeds Twitter comment … especially what that self-proclaimed ‘huge nerd’ Rae Ivywood has to say.

That burn from Reed tho…

Hey @ShadowIvywood, I meant “carry on” as in “carry on with your life” not “carry on with your opinions of STAR WARS”. See ya.

LOL! 😄

ITW, hopefully soon. I’ll post updates here, on the blog and at fanedit.org when it’s ready. New job, extra time required, life, etc…

Not sure why this posted as a second post and not an edit. Sorry.

Take all the time you need, master. I’m just stoked to be able to watch a version of Rogue One without “BOOOR GULLETTT!”

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time

Yay! I’m almost done with matching the subtitles on Hoth and it’s going great. After ESB, would it be worthwhile to also match the ANH:R subtitles from the NTSC DVD? Or should I wait for the HD version first? Not that familiar with how DVD-synced subtitles work on MKV.

Looks brilliant, Ady! You da man!

Btw does anyone have tips on how to sync subtitles from Project Threepio into Revisited? I mean… is all dialogue the same? Do the scenes last as long as in Despecialized? If that’s the case, I could just move the start time to match Revisited. I need the Finnish ones for my family so they can keep up… and when I’m alone, I always use English ones because there are always things that drown in translation.

Video Games - a general discussion thread
Time

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Majora’s Mask 3D back-to-back on Citra with 6x native resolution, oh yeah! The nostalgia is incomprehensible and it looks so amazing on a big TV. Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess HD and BotW on Cemu later. I also read good things about Xenoblade Chronicles so I might have to check that out as well since there’s a much-hyped sequel coming soon.

Kinda funny that I’ve never really been a “Nintendo guy” but somehow Zelda snuck into my life out of the blue when I was a kid. I think I borrowed my friend’s SNES and he had A Link to the Past on it. Great memories!

Star Wars Episode IX (was) to be directed by Colin Trevorrow - DUEL OF THE FATES RIP
Time

Yesterday “someone” tweeted at Collider Movie Talk and said that Rian Johnson had stated in some Japanese interview that he is not directing episode IX. If true, probably just means he hasn’t signed a piece of paper yet. The comment is total hear-say but have you guys seen / heard anything about this from a more reliable source?

More space pirates selling these on eBay…I’ve reported them all. Honestly, this kind of stuff threatens this hobby we all love.

You may be asking, “What exactly am I paying for?”

The answer is simple, it is for my time, materials (Blu-Rays, ink, paper, etc.) and personalization that go into creating the homemade box set.

Wow…

Project Threepio (Star Wars OOT subtitles)
Time

Oh man… I’ve copied the Finnish subtitles past Hoth now for ESB: Revisited and tested them for the first time. I matched the time with the English subtitles and wow… they go by really fast, haha! I guess I didn’t figure out that you need a bit more time for subtitles in other languages. This just makes me appreciate everyone who made the subtitles + timing for Despecialized more.
