How Does Princess Leia Remember Her Mother in Return of the Jedi?
Time

I like to think if I ABSOLUTELY had to give an in-universe reason, it’s down to the fact that Leia is Force-sensitive and can remember the strong emotions her mother experienced during childbirth etc. It’s a flimsy excuse, but no weirder than that Newtype stuff I love in Mobile Suit Gundam.

Out-of-universe has already been covered, lazy scriptwriting.

Unfortunately so. Sped up and truncated. Film4 is the most irritating offender in this respect because they time compress films to death, even omitting entire credit sequences that are relevant to the film, whilst marketing themselves as the dedicated film channel.

Sidenote: you think that’s bad? It’s been (more than) the norm in the USA for over 10 years! It’s harder to find a channel that shows the credits at all (outside of a box in the corner) than one that does.

(namely TPM and ESB).

Very aware of the problems with TPM, but haven’t heard ESB used as an example of where the blu-rays hit their worst. Do you mind elaborating? I’m quite curious. The blue shift is intense and all but I don’t know how it’s any worse than the rest of the OT.

sidenote: I can’t figure out this text editor for shit anymore and it makes me feel hella old.

Denoise, Regrain And CC of ESB Grindhouse (Released)
Time

Thank you for your work! Glad to see someone tackling the Grindhouse version.

I have an odd question. While I agree that your original screenshot is too green, do you have any more examples of the film with that grading? I would love to see that as an alternate take if only because, like it or not, it does immediately seem a bit more modern at first glance that way. Probably wouldn’t be my preferred version of the film, but definitely a unique take that I’d enjoy for curiosity if nothing else.

I’ve watched Proton Jon’s Let’s Play of Superman 64. Funny how he still hasn’t finished it.

Late to the party here, but wanted to +1 this. Proton Jon somehow manages to make going through that tedium fun, and adds a few details that make it more than the average letsplay (history of game development, character profiles, etc.)

I bought the game awhile back, and while I don’t regret it, it’s still not even that fun as a morbid curiosity.
