Blu-Ray and other HD box size STAR WARS covers
Time

I’m really liking your back cover image choice a lot.

There’s really a fine balance that I’m looking for in my cover design-- and perhaps it is unattainable. On one hand, I don’t want my covers to scream “THIS IS A FAN MADE CHEESY PROJECT”-- I want it to look very legitimate, like something officially put out by Lucasfilm. Yes, I don’t want it to look the same as anything that actually is put out by Lucasfilm-- I want it to stand out as something special… or, rather, something De-special. There is a bit of tension between these two ideas, and I’m not sure if I can find it without compromising one side or the other.

I could rant for a while, but it’s past my bedtime…

one69chev-

I really like these designs! The only thing I might change on the covers is the shot of Luke on the ESB cover- it’s a bit bug-eyed, or something. And the minimalist disc label is very nice. Once you have a good image for the background there’s not much else needed, in my opinion. Are you putting this together in Photoshop?

one69chev: Yes, the Everest 600 is a serious printer. It was an investment I made a few years ago that ended up working out very well.

It would be nice to be able to print some discs for some folks here, but doing so without opening up a flood of requests, that’s the real difficulty. It’s a bit expensive to use.

Anyhow, once I get ahold of the njvc .iso files I’ll post pics of my discs.

I am very interested in the link to these blu ray .iso files. Please let me know if there is anything else I should be doing.

I hope I’m going about this the right way. It’s incredibly refreshing to see a group of fans who are willing to put so much dedication into a project such as this and also taking great care (as much as reasonably possible) to avoid blatant piracy and theft.
