The ‘Custom Special Edition’ That Almost Wasn’t, But Then Was (Released)
Time

Something that came to mind watching that recent lightspeed footage from inside the cockpit and watching Adywan’s. I notice you see the blue lighting effect from the lightspeed light lighting up the cockpit. Watching Adywan’s edit I notice how he also applied it on the shot Han say’s “Stand by Chewy here we go, cutting the sublight engines.” It would be cool tp see that effect continuity in the edit.

I was only talking on having them exit. Like you say Vader establishes them going on hyperspace. Use the overhead shot of falcon passing towards Yavin prime, but have a quick lightspeed exit animation to where it transition to seeing yavin prime. You’d have the same order of shots.

Well maybe the celebration is all the scum and villainy Ben speaks of coming together. They’re all celebrating that fact they can commit crime and gang related stuff again without the Empire getting involved lol. Maybe everyone is also celebrating the Death of Jabba lol. It’s funny when you think outside the box on stuff sometimes lol.

In my head cannon the ending the 97 version is my favorite of the ending. I seen one fan edit that had the the 04 version but somehow mute the “Wesa Free!”, and just used footage of Sebastian Shaw in place of Hayden. If it were me, that’s how I would honestly do it. I know most people say oh the Empire just didn’t suddenly fall with the Death of the Emperor and Death Star II. Which in a real reality that would be true. I only like that only because it adds world building to the Star Wars galaxy. The only downside to the 97 version is when Coruscant is shown, the Jedi Temple and Senate building aren’t present in the 97. More then likely just those building were ideas/concept at the time. Being the Phantom Menace was just in the pre production phase the time the Special Editions were done before filming that next year in 98. To me I find it pretty cool how George how the visual look of Coruscant just two years prior.

I was thinking about something watching some Episode IV fan edits. 2 scenes I have a question in particular. The Mos Eisley entrance. Various fan edits make the entrance seem choppy due to couple things being cut. Like the robot slapping the security droid and the jawas falling off the ronto. Mostly a lot of fan edits cut around the stuff. They dont like which it’s understandable as those two parts is very childish humor. The most favorable version of the scene edited in a good way to where it’s not so choppy is Adywan Revisited. So I was wondering how yours will be done.

The second scene I have a question about is “If the Ship is as fast as his boasting we ought to do well.” Something I’ve always found cool is with Adywan and KK650’s is they used a wipe with that shot and not the fade. It just seems natural and not weird being none of the other films have had a scene to scene fade transition to another shot. George took the fade away with the imperial spy fading to the docking bay stairs. More then likely he thought it being strange as well being to what I stated. Just thought I’d ask. Love your Custom Special Empire Strikes Back.

As talented of a team you have that helps you with these Im sure it could be done. What’s even more baffling they had thruster efx for the shots of the tie chasing Biggs in the SE. Also the efx of the thrusters are there when Wedge takes out the fighter after Luke. A bit faded but it’s there. You’d figure as close and we follow the tie for that couple seconds it would’ve been a no brainier for ILM. Something that always look weird to me lol.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

He did release a colour-corrected TESB early on, IIRC. I think it was in 1080p.

The only disappointment is it has no DTS 5.1 track its a Dolby 5.1. The thing is one can do a DTS sync, althor’s laserdisc capture of the 97 esb has a DTS sync and works perfect. I wonder if we’ll get a color corrected ESB blu ray as well, I mean it obviously had to be done. The color grading between the 97 reconstruction and the revisited is different. The reconstruction has a little yellow to it. Where more then likely when doing his blu ray color grading, it has to be remotely different assuming the case.

A 1080p 25GB mkv version of the colour graded version will be uploaded soon for anyone that wants it.

That’s so awesome, thank you so much! Hoping I’d be able to break my spleen just to get them. 😉

The Phantom Menace - A "Good Enough" HD Reconstruction (Released)

You have the bridge that was added to the 2001 dvd, Just after the queen leaves back from Naboo following the shot of the palace. The Original theatrical didn’t have the shot the cgi bridge to the left where the river is. Also certain shots of the Podrace sequences look soft and I can understand you taking the route you did but maybe you didn’t know. Being you want to make this a HD Preservation, the digital movie collection has the original podrace sequence in full hd . So you can have that one crowd shot on and Watto yelling Subulba in HD and not a upscale. Also what kind of audio did you use out of curiosity. There’s nothing bad about it I was just curious if you went with the DTS track that’s available ?

kk650's Star Wars Saga: Regraded and Semi-Specialized (Released)
Time

If you guys need a new place to find access to KK’s stuff other then spleen just message me and I’ll tell you where.
(UPDATE-4/19/2020) Thanks to stretch009 for letting me know. It has come to my attention that the website that I have used and been sending people it seem is no longer accepting new accounts so it seems it’s become a spleen situation. So it’ll be useless to send me a message asking me where being the site isn’t allowing new members would be folly to do.

Hope KK is well. I still see he’s making regrade releases but he hasn’t made news of his other projects in a while. I can’t wait to see his Solo regrade, getting rid of the oblivious green tint. I’ll wonder if when that comes out if he will do updates to any of the other Star Wars regrades ? We haven’t seen a ROTJ 2.6 with with YN or VC which will make the O.T up to date all together. His Version 3 of the prequels are incredible. I have my fingers cross for a ESB 2.6 with Ian Mcdiarmid, being we had the option between that and the original one from 2.2. Which I’ve been curious why we haven’t had that as a option like before. In terms of the Special Edition OT his version are my go to.
