there’s a few parts/mistakes I’d like to see again. Like that one painting of a hallway in IV that was painted the wrong way so it looked like the wall and hallway bent when filmed at the wrong angle

Have I missed something. Where’s that ?

I assume he means the detention block hallway.

Ahh, okay thanks. I thought I missed something on the Blockade Runner or something. The ‘bent’ hallway threw me.

Donner Cut Vs Lester Cut?
Time

^ That’s great. Never seen those scenes before.
I prefer the Donner cut. I always had a problem with the comedy in the Lester cut involving Zod,Ursa and Non,those should have been played serious as in the start of Superman the movie. The guy talking on the phone when blown down the steet…bah !
The John Williams score and title sequence is far better than the Lester cut and Ken Thorne’s Superman theme always sounded rather flat.

It was people at Lucasfilm that nudged George into releasing the bonus discs to begin with. Not their fault he took the cheap route.

That was to undercut the bootleg market anyways. Which would have never existed if George wasn’t an insane man that is sadistic to his fanbase.

I think this still gives us hope.I’m thinking something may happen next year for the anniversary. Surely they will not let that pass without doing something special.

The Force Awakens: Official Review Thread - ** SPOILERS **

Also, did everyone else not get trailers? Was this them trying to make it like a 1977 experience? Were there trailers after the film? I was really surprised to have it start immediately after the lights went down.

I thought that my midnight showing was going to actually be just after midnight. In fact we had to sit through a load of crap adverts and trailers, the only trailer worth watching was Captain America Civil War.
The adverts went on and on and people were getting quite vocal about it. When the copyright card came up, everyone thought that the film was going to start…nope, we had another long trailer about some video game. By this time people were shouting to get the film on, enough is enough.
So, about 12:40 the film started. I got home at 03:30.
Thanks Cineworld.

Episode VII: The Force Awakens - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *
Time

That was great. It was all that I wanted the film to be.
What happened to Captain Phasma ? She looked great but did really nothing at all except get captured and deactivate the shield.
What are your thoughts on Rey? Is she Luke’s daughter? Leia gave her a real big hug back at the base for someone she did not know.

General Star Wars Random Thoughts Thread
Time

I was looking at the Original Trilogy steelbooks in a shop the other day. You can’t see the back of the tin because of card information slip. Some young teen said “Have you got these yet? You need to watch all six films in a row they are really great”. Then they were gone before I had chance to defend myself and the honor of this website and the theatrical cuts. Bah !

Picked up the new Star Wars Topps Trading Card book in a sci-fi shop ahead of the release date. All four series cards both front and back are featured with most cards having information by the author as to why the cards were picked. There are a few minor mistakes the author makes regarding the picture scenes but overall this is a great book. The dust cover is a thin waxy finish like the card wrappers and it took a while to find a copy without a damaged cover.
