What do you LIKE about the EU?

Another favorite bit of EU are the first two books in the 'Coruscant Nights' trilogy.  The series gets noticeably worse with each book, but the first one is GREAT, the second is solid, but the third is horrible.

I agree. i thought it was somewhat of a cool tie in with the characters' father from the Darth Maul Novel. Shadow Hunter i believe it was.

Thanks Frink, you said it for me. The movies should make enough sense on their own, EU should only be a bonus material that expands around it, not a tool to retcon errors.

But they don't. Even the OT didn't. If you wanted to get the full idea of the PT or OT you needed to read the EU or at the very least do a breif overview of it.

Please tell me where in the movies is this established.

EU. That's only if u keep up with it.

Yeah well, lets just assume that I am an average movie fan who has no time or interest in reading through all of those attempts to make up for Lucas' errors. If he indeed wanted his audience to know that stromtrooper != clonetrooper, a simple line about new recruits being trained spoken by pretty much anyone anywhere in ROTS (exept for that young padawan before he gets killed, that would be a bit out of place) would easily establish that.

Well, that's your loss then isn't it?

And Battery boy! AT least i can get a hard on. :p

What are you talking about?! The Fett Clones were cool! Man, people complain that they don't have enough Fett so GL makes a bunch of clones and you're still not happy.

I think the main problem here is that we are led to believe that the stormtroopers from the OT are actually clones. Those super elite Mandalorian bounty hunter troops that barely hit anything in the OT... And you have to do a LOT of retconing to make this work.

Sorry, maybe this post was not necessary. Sometimes I wonder - are your posts serious? Because if not, that would certainly explain a lot...

Storm Troopers weren't Clones. They were new recruits trained by them.

Anyways, what we're we talking about before this? Something about Maul dancing with his feet?

Carrie Fisher is 50 today

Hard to believe Princess Leia/Carrie Fisher is really 50... feels like she should be forever young. Well, happy belated 50th birthday to her! May she be here for another 50!

Amazing to see them now compared to seeing them in the movies. Carrie Fisher, you could hardly recognize her now. She looks at least 60 now though. And plays Peter's boss in Family Guy. Better then nothing. Well, maybe better then Mark Hamill playing Joker in the Batman Cartoons.

Feeling very down about the current state of Star Wars

It's over guys. We're done. Lucas has succeed in doing what he wants to the OOT, and in a generation, it'll be a footnote and a memory. It's not coming out again. Ever. And it's goddamn sure never getting restored. Throw in the towel. We've lost.

Uh, i hope you don't hang yourself over this. I'm sry, but you sound pretty pathetic right now.
