I hope you can get a copy of Jedi, as it's a nice sounding record. My copy was cut at Masterdisk by Howie Weinberg (though I sadly can't mail it anywhere).

GM's complaints here are VERY valid. If any of you can't wait to get his edits, at the very least you need to find a copy of the 4-CD Anthology since it has such superior sound quality over the SEs.

Yep, I'm back (not that I ever left because I'm never really here to begin with). About a month ago, I found near mint copies of Empire and Jedi, I'm just having a heck of a time getting them scanned on my tiny scanner - ANH was a lot easier to piece together. Anyway, since I may never finish these new scans, I can at least give ya the front of ESB. You can grab the high-res TIF here.

I've always liked the Anthology's sound. There's tape hiss, glorious tape hiss!

Gotta love flat transfers. Can't wait to see what you do with it, though.

Thanks! I wish I had Empire and Jedi - I'm in the process of tracking down good copies of them, but it might take a while. I collect a lot of vinyl, but the real trick isn't just finding something, its finding something in good condition! If I ever turn up anything else of interest, I'll let you guys know.

Hello there! I mostly just lurk around here, but I saw this thread and I thought I might be able to help. I've got the original 77 release of Star Wars, and it's in great shape. Using it, I spent this morning scanning and cleaning all the artwork, including the interior of the gatefold cover and the sheet of liner notes.
