Thank you Smith Henry. I was waiting to hear something positive about it.

You're replying to a spambot. Notice the grayed out post? They were banned.

Not all spam is posted by bots. Spammers can hire people that are $1 – $2 per hour in India to sit in a room and spam forums all day long.

Info Wanted: Which Star Wars edits do you recommend?
Time

Hi, I notice a lot of different fan edits of the Star Wars Trilogy. Which one would you say is the best? I like ones that try to preserve the original as much as possible while getting rid of continuity errors i.e. the missing cloak when Luke ignites his lightsaber, bad effects corrected, color correction, etc.

How's this Moth3r?

Dimension wise OK, however the total size of 7.1MB for all three images is significantly over than the 100KB limit.

Makes viewing on a mobile phone particularly problematic.

Would it be alright if I keep it the way it is? I worked very hard to get these GIFs to work and I can't think of anyway to shrink the size to 100 KB without losing all of the quality of the animated GIF images.

This animated GIF sucks. It only shows a fraction of the whole scene that was originally converted to an animated GIF. I am using imgur to host it as photobucket is having problems uploading it. Is there any other animated GIF hosting service besides photobucket and imgur that I can use on this site that can show longer animated GIFs? I used Abobe Premeire Elements 10 to edit the movie from an AVI file and then "Cute Video to GIF Converter ver 1.401" software to convert the edited video file which was in 1080p 29.97 fps format to animated GIF. There was over 200 frames to them, but it looks like only 10 are showing up for the middle one. The others look OK.

Edit: After playing with it for awhile I have obtained better results, still less than ideal though.

I decided to go back to photobucket. Does Imgur have cropping and resizing options like photobucket? I can't seem to find them?

Star Wars Holiday Special - WHIO 1st Gen VHS Preservation (Released)
Time

A user that I will leave unnamed, private messaged me links to a website that appears to be a cloud storage site called "MEGA" that holds all the .rar files of the SWHS WHIO version discs 1 & 2.

I got a problem though. My ISP Comcast/xFinity (xFaility) is throttling my download of this to just a little under 100 KB/s even though my connection should be capable of at least 1MB/s. I've had this problem before downloading torrent, but it would usually only happen towards the very end of the download so I didn't mind it that much. This one is happening right away. Do you now if there is a way around this?

I just downloaded Binreader. Could you private message me how to use this thing? It looks like I upload nzb files to it and then it finds the files and downloads them. Is that correct?

I'm new to this whole file sharing/torrent thing. I don't download very often as I like to buy my media legally. Unfortunately for The Star Wars Holiday Special and original Star Wars Trilogy, I don't have a choice.

I thought 7-zip was just for .zip files? I thought I would need WinRAR to combine/extract .rar files? I bought WinRAR years ago and the product key has never failed to rework when I have ported it onto new PC builds. That's why I never delete emails. You never know when they will come back in handy.

My Journey To Chernobyl - documentary project (* unfinished project *)
Time

Hello everyone,

I am making a long Blu-ray disc of photo and video footage from my trip to Chernobyl. The disc is going to include several documentaries about the Chernobyl Disaster edited for better pacing and removing redundancy.

Then it will show video footage from my tour there. After that is will show a photo slide show and then some additional video coverage on the disaster that I liked. To top it all off I will include one more documentary edited for better pacing.

The video will be 5-6 hours long and most of it will be HD quality content, that is why it will need to go on Blu-ray. I am almost done with the project already. I have been working on it since 2012. I plan to upload it as a torrent, but I haven’t done that before so it will be a learning experience. I used Adobe Premiere Elements 10 and Photoshop Elements 10 to make it so far.

Are you guys interested? Is this legal? I will find the list of documentaries I used. Some are from the Discovery Channel. Others are from the National Geographic channel and news broadcasts.

It will be totally free of course.

Star Wars Holiday Special - WHIO 1st Gen VHS Preservation (Released)
Time

I have a question about downloading the SWHS WHIO version from usenet/giganews.

Hi,

I don't mean to bombard you guys with so many questions. I am very anxious to download this and I am tired of trying to figure this out. Perhaps you could help me out with this since you probably know all the ins and outs of this stuff.

I made a Usenet account on Giganews and now I am trying to download SWHS WHIO version with the Mimo software and it keeps stopping at 33%. I got the free trial version of newsgroups/usenet that manually needs to be renewed to allow charges. Should I bump up to the paid version right away? Is that why they keep throttling my download and stopping me at 33%?

Is there just a torrent I could download this from? I am very confused on how to use this newsgroup stuff. It seems I have to use this Mimo software to download it, no other options. The main page is very un-userfriendly. Do I have to use Linux or Windows run commands to get this to work? There seems to be no download links on the site.

The website I am talking about is this one with multiple links (because I am not sure which link is the one I should use to download?):

(LINKS OMITTED as this was also sent as a private message)

I just use ctrl f and type "SWHS WHIO" in the ctrl f search box to find  the file I want.

I would really appreciate it if you could help me with this.

I just made an account at the MySpleen forum. I made a post asking what to do to get the WHIO version of "The Star Wars Holiday Special." Has anyone else downloaded it? What do I need to do exactly in order to get that?

Stop posting the same thing all over the place for starters.

I think I'll start... by shoving my foot up your kbooty.

You've been on this site less than two days. Rudeness is not going to make people want to help you. You already got off on the wrong foot posting that piratebay link in the other thread.

I was trying to be funny. No rudeness intended. I made a Usenet account on Giganews and now I am trying to download SWHS WHIO version with the Mimo software and it keeps stopping at 33%.
