Is there any chance of Gerhardt remastered concert suites from your Film Edit set resurfacing? Would be interesting to hear.

The only chance would be that someone pm you one of these past works (the "Optimum Editions" v2 & v3 had some of these tracks too). I haven't kept any of those for myself, even on physical CDs.

I'll sell my Gerhart CD version ASAP besides cause if this 1980 recording is indeed great, both the performance and the mastering are a torture to me now.

Okay. Thanks anyway. I won't give up hope. Maybe someone who held on to it here will see it and send a PM my way.

How come you don't keep your stuff? It should be like... of historical importance. lol

Wow I've haven't been on here in a while, there's been quite a few developments I see.

Firstly to Fishmanlee, thank you very much for that link to the Jabba music, I did try and recreate my own but this is much better!

And GM, I await with eager anticipation the uploading of your Star Wars sets although please do not feel rushed by us, I know how annoying it can get when everyone's asking you when/where/how long etc.

And GGCTUK has apparently moved from ffshrine since it has been revamped in a 'don't upload music here' kind of way which is a shame. I didn't manage to get hold of his TPM set, can anyone point me in the right direction?

It's funny, I have every single official soundtrack, I have my own complete soundtracks, I have various lesser bootlegs drifting around the place, I have GM's old soundtracks, most of GGCTUK's and yet I'm still wanting more... I'm basically just a Star Wars music whore

Same. I unfortunately didn't download his TPM. The tracklist looked like the tracks were edited together instead of separated as GM tends to do, so I didn't download. Stupid, I know.

J. Williams & LSO, The EMPIRE STRIKES BACK AUDIOPHILE EDITION - Restored & Remastered Score (Released)

First off, wow, the covers and booklet are gorgeous. Very professional-looking. Impressive. Well done.

I listened to the first two discs. Just blown away. Its been an interesting progression. I first heard the score on the SE set, then I listened to Good_Musician's work, then your Salvage set, and this one. The AE is by far the best. Top-notch. The editing is perfect. Everything flows very well together, be it within tracks or between tracks. Nothing seems out of place. Very smooth and was crystal clear. An enjoyable listening experience.

Its great to see such life brought back into the score.

Shame about the computer troubles. Even if nothing is lost, always a pain.

I read post 225. I sent you a PM once before about the salvage set, so I know not to do that from now on. I thankfully managed to find it (I think. Its the Internet, so you really never know) on the net and loved it. ANH was a pleasure.

Hopefully, someday, I'll come across this set too. I'm sure it sounds fantastic. But, its your work. So, if simple and silent is the way you want it, then that's how its gotta be.

he's kinda waiting for the GGCTUK to finish sifting through cues before making them available

HOWEVER in this thread here a friend of mine is working on a complete score for AOTC: http://soundtrackmixing.freeforums.org/episode-2-tracklist-etc-t8-30.html

On a related note, it appears the ggctuk has released his TPM set.

where!?

He frequents ffshrine

Honestly I keep waiting, hoping GGCTUK can get some stuff done. I want to jump back in and redo my sets but new games with new material keeps coming out.

I would like to wait until there's a lull... let GGCTUK find some more of the pieces, then make my edit and send it to ABC and get his final revision on it.

I mean, I did the original research. I searched 100 gb of music to create the set I made. It took nearly 2 years to complete... letting GGCTUK figure out the tiny nuances of a few cues...I'm ok with :-p

Based on GGCTUK's thread at ffshrine, he uploaded new sets for the OT recently. Supposedly working on TPM at the moment.

I remember you once having an E.T. set. Any chance of that resurfacing some day?

Sorry guys... I'm around... just havn't been on.

As for the updates... I need to do them, but I've been so busy. More and more material keeps coming out and frankly, I've been out of the loop a bit too long. I'm gonna try to team up with GGCTUK and maybe someone else I know to get hte most up to date and corrected sets... Episode II and III are the ones with the biggest changes.

I'll let you all know ;-)

This is where they'll go though

If you, GGCTUK, and ABC team up, the results would be godly. I've heard at least some version of ANH from each of you.

I adore your Temple of Doom set.

I have a Blu-Ray player, but only SL DVDs. As long as there's no problems doing this over the computer (and I don't need to buy DL DVDs) then I'm happy. Can't wait to watch this.

NO NOT SL DVD ...you NEED to burn to a DL DVD

I know that. That's why I want to watch it over the computer instead of burning anything.

Are there any problems if I were to use my TV as a monitor for my computer and watch the movie off of that (instead of a Blu-Ray player)?

You'll need a good dual core or quad core processor to be able to watch it using your pc without serious lagging. But if your processor can handle it then hook it up via DVI and using your TV will be fine.

2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. And I'll be using a DVI-HDMI cable and a TRS Connector to TOSLINK cable. I had WG's HD WMVs at one point, but...they were WMVs and I have a Mac. So, Flip4Mac took a while to process those. But they played just fine over QuickTime. VLC played them without sound. I was asking mostly about AVCHD, because I hadn't heard of it until this thread.
