Absolutely amazing work , Scara. Thank you for posting these for us to use.

Please don't take this the wrong way, because these are incredible, but I did notice a few grammatical errors..

ANH - "realises" (european spelling?), "to be taken care off"

ESB - "in search off Jedi Master Yoda"

ROTJ - The first paragraph is one really long run-on sentence

Again, I'm not trying to diminish what you have done, because they kick total ass, I'm just trying to help you make them as perfect as they can be.

MagnoliaFan Edits: Ep I "Balance Of The Force", and Ep II "The Clone War" (Released)

Hmmm...some interesting debate there.

I guess I never thought about why Yoda would know that rule....maybe one of the Sith Lords accidentally "CC'd" Yoda when "Force emailing" each other....

Did the Jedi wipe the Sith out? Or did one of the Sith Lords kill off a bunch of the others to end their power/greed struggles? I seem to remember some of the comics talking about this. If so, then Yoda could possibly just infer that that's what they would have to do to survive. But I don't remember Lucas' exact statements on that stuff...I doubt he would refer to the "comic history". Seems more likely that was just a flaw in Lucas' logic.

Although that rule could still work within the OT.

I still think Vader and Palps were each vying for Luke to become their "right hand man". Even though the Emperor agreed to Vader's offer of turning him, I think he knew that the only way he would truly be turned would be to kill Vader. I think he foresaw Luke's dilemna in the Throne Room. Also remember that Vader told Luke together they could destroy the Emperor and rule as father and son. As for why Vader blocks Luke's strike, I tend to think that he was "Force persuaded" by the Emperor himself to prevent his own death....the Emperor was just goading Luke to kill him, though obviously that was never Palps' true intention. If it was, then he just gave Vader exactly what he wanted...Luke a darksider, and them ruling the galaxy together. Why would he allow that? He knew he could make Vader block Luke's deathblow.

Not to veer back on topic or anything, but...

I just wanted to say that MagnoliaFan has done an outstanding job on these Prequel edits! I got them from Rikter a few weeks ago, and you have some talent sir. I didn't think anyone could turn Jar Jar into a viable character, but you have. Transforming Anakin from a "Yippee!, blow up the Trade Federation by accident" kid to a kid that had skills and did what he had to do to help was very well done too. You just made Episode I much more enjoyable to watch. Thanks.

One small question -- I was just curious about your decision to cut Yoda's line at the end from "no more, no less" to just "no less"...what was the impetus for that? Doesn't bother me at all, I was just curious....do you just like the thought that there could be more Sith Lords out there? Thanks again for all your awesome efforts.

Star Wars - The Edits and DVDr releases thread

I'm a long time lurker here, but the draw of these Magnolia Fan edits is too much to stay in the shadows. I'm gonna have to hit Rikter up for these once and for all.

I'd just like to say these boards and all of you guys here are awesome. I've learned quite a bit reading the past few months about all the different sound mixes, cuts, etc. Even all the info about DVD authoring and editing has been great....for someone like me who'd like to get into as a hobby.

Again, great work everyone on all the edits and custom covers....what a great place to share our love for the OT. I guess you'll be seeing me around these parts more often now...
