Info Wanted: Star Wars Celebrity TV Clips - on the ISOMIX set; any more?
Time

After seeing that TV clip on the ISOMIX DVD, from the first Star Wars TV presentation, I wondered if the other parts were available anywhere?

These involved various celebrities, before/after each commercial break, talking about what Star Wars meant to them. I used to have the telecast on VHS, but time has not been kind to the internals of those old cassettes and I’m hoping a digital equivalent exists.

Thanks!

I think he was just stating his opinion about how people (in general) who are passive to the point that they gladly accept (even with their acknowledgement) sub-standard goods/treatment because they for some reason see no point in asserting themselves contradicts his personal philosophy. I didn't see any outright personal flaming.

Exactly, and thanks for posting it so eloquently.

I hardly call not getting the exact version that you want of some movies on DVD a "sh****" lot.

Personally, I think those who want the O-OT, but *accept* the crappy 2004 editions because "we should be thankful for getting anything" are spineless wimps who will likely go through their sad little lives accepting each little crumb people toss them. I'm a successful, A-type, go-getter and I don't accept shit from anyone, no matter if it's Lucas or some moron on this board.

And you, Mr. Spineless, are telling me, to grow up? LOL, have fun living in your parent's basement for life!!

Maybe some hope, recent interview with lucas

OK, so, maybe he might approve a O-OT release if it requires no work from GL at all, and reverts all the profits to him. Sounds fair.

Not to mention highly feasible.

I mean come on guys, that statement was simply a political angle, so that he wouldn't get raked over the coals for his 'they can buy the OT on VHS" slam. Lucas may be a simpering old fool, but he knows how to market.

What Lucas is really saying here, is that if Magical Fairies do all the work for him, then the O-OT might get put on DVD at around 2020.

Break out the champagne!!!

STAR WARS DVD Producer Van Ling answers the tough questions!

Hey fanboys, I have ABSOLUTELY NO ILLUSIONS of ever receiving the O-OT on DVD, and Georgie Porgy has stated that he will never release these on DVD. It's pretty obvious that the crappy Prequels have caused Lucas to go back into the OT and "re-define his vision" so that the excellent O-OT starts looking more like the shit of the PT.

Does anyone REALLY think Lucas is just going to throw all that away, delete all the PT connections, all the pukey CGI, and simply release the O-OT, a set of films that Lucas calls "unfinished"?

Not me, so why ask for what you will never receive, when you can slam the senile old idiot responsible for this sad state of affairs.

Changes in 2004 DVDs

Also, could we please stop suggesting that Vader is undead? It takes all of the emotion out of his struggle with Luke, and his redemption. If Lucas makes he literally dead at the end of III, it will destroy a huge part of the Star Wars' story and impact.

Yeah, we all know that a telltale sign of the Undead is the inability to re-grown human hair, and we also know that Anakin clearly had eyebrows on his... hey waitaminute.....

A New Hope...

Do you people really think Georgie Porgy is actually going to change his mind, ruin the Prequel continuity he's just digitally inserted into the 2004 OT, delete the SE revisions, and release the Original Trilogy Theatrical versions on DVD?

If so, then you really need to to look at the REASONS Lucas is continually revising the movies, and how much the Prequel Continuity means to him.

By my calculations, the odds of Lucas releasing the O-OT are 5,967,456,932 to 1.
