Info: 16mm ESB and ROTJ films on ebay
Time
I have a full length super 8mm scope print of ANH (anamorphic, you need a special lens). I think I got it from ebay or somewhere many years ago. It was good to watch on a big screen back then, but the DVDs or the HDTV versions of the films deliver a much better quality, colors, detail, etc.
A 16mm copy may be much better. A 70mm copy still better. But the HDTV versions, in my opinion, is the best, fastest accessible version I can think of today.

BTW, does someone have the article numbers of the 16mm ebay auctions? I can't find them anymore.

Hi,
2 of the clips I posted are still on rapidshare. Rest was probably deleted due to missing requests.
I have the others on my harddrives back home. I may upload them again when Im back home in a few weeks time.

However, all links I posted were downloaded many times (some several hundred times I believe). So rest assured: They will never be lost again.

Get them there and upload it to wherever you like.

Thank you SO much for your contributions. Have joined RAPIDSHARE and downloaded the STAR WARS/A NEW HOPE stuff-it's terrific. Is the Parbot EMPIRE footage link still working?-I keep keying it in but RAPIDSHARE says it can't find the file?

I've tried the YOUSENDIT conversion but for some reason, even with the ANTIVIRUS security turned off, it won't get past the sign in on my machine.

Thanks again,

Hello Starwarsmania,

yes, all the links are still working. They are still there and active with people downloading it every day. Perhaps you have adjusted your browser incorrectly?

Here are the links again:

Hi friends,

regarding a better transfer I can tell you this:

I got this copy years ago from a friend. His VHS copy is one genereation better than my VHS copy, so we should use his tape for the transfer. Perhaps he even has more stuff, such as this Dutch Hamill thing (the last few frames).

Unfortunatly he is on a trip in the US for a couple of weeks. I will get in touch with him as soon as he is back!

Hi,
I thought I open a new thread for this. Take these two as a starter:

http://rapidshare.com/files/24492575/Daniels_Elstree_clips.wmv
http://rapidshare.com/files/24496436/Flying_solo.WMV

I have another clip from an Alec Guinness documentary. I will post it tomorrow.

Does anybody have anything else? Something unseen? Something not in Deleted Magic? How about the Lost Cut? 😃

Number 20,

this is all I have. I was making fun when I said I had it all. It was a white lie in reaction to Eric's question in order to convince Darth Neo. This is the complete programme from Dutch or whatever TV. But as you can clearly see, it was edited together from the Making of ESB footage. Perhaps it has even been shown in its entirety there. That TV station must have it in their archives!

Here you go:

And this ANH footage doesn't really belong in this thread, but I think you might be interested, too:

A German movie magazine had some rare ESB footage in it. It's called Apropos Film. And another UK programme called The Risk Business, however rather bad quality. Both will follow probably tomorrow.

Now enjoy and let me know what you think of it!

No Erik,

of course it IS the actual documentary, just edited down to make the upload more convenient. It shows partly what Darth Neo posted and partly unseen portions which Darth Neo hasn't provided but which he well knows. It was NOT edited together from Darth Neo's footage as you can see in the foreign subtitles throughout and the narration (Dutch or Norwegian). Isn't this proving that it was broadcasted in at least one other country?

Come on, Neo! Let us know whether this convinces you to share your the better quality version. Remember: If you die tomorrow, your copy may go lost forever! If you share it now and lose it, you can always recover it from your fellow forum friends, right boys?

Look, I will share here everything I have. I mean everything that I haven't seen elsewhere e.g. in Deleted Magic and Empire Building. See how these two great guys shared their hard work, hundreds of hours of gathering and editing footage FOR FREE with the world. With the members of this great forum. Sharing is the only way to make sure these things are conserved! You have the great plan for a good website! You are a giving person, too!

(Upload is at 74%, estimated time to completion: 45 minutes from now)

Where is everybody? Something good is coming up tonight!

Parbot's footage WAS indeed aired! I am uploading 15 minutes of it to rapidshare at this very moment Plus more footage and specials to follow soon.

Come back in a few hours and bring your friends. Spread word and get everybody back in here. That will certainly bring some life back into this thread!

Darth Neo, I hope that what you soon will see, will suffice to make you reconsider. BTW, do you already know a date when your website will open? Any links yet? I cant wait to see it!

BTW, where should I post footage from ANH? Hardly any of you has seen that BTS stuff yet!

Hi friends,

I'm new to this forum and I've read this Michel Parbot thread with great interest. Our great friend Garrett Gilchrist guided me here.

I dont have a copy of that special, but I have some partially poor quality recordings of some Dutch, German and British programmes which are using alot of this Parbot footage. I will upload it hopefully this coming weekend.

I'm optimistic that either the whole documentary will be published one fine day, or Darth Neo will provide it with permission of his source. Even though it is sad for the time being, I understand his reasons since he has given his word. Still I'm looking forward to seeing is upcoming website.

However, the only way to make sure a rare thing doesnt go lost, is to share it. Just imagine a rare thing is lost in a fire and there is no copy. Or one unexpectedly dies and his relatives, wifes, children simply dispose of what they might consider worthless rubbish. Be it a books, photos, films, text, whatsoever.

I appreciate very much the attitude of the members here, who so willingly share these things and save them from going lost. Stay tuned for some addtions I will make to this forum very soon. They may not be just as good and long as the Parbot special you are talking about, but probably unseen by most of you.

Regards,

Rok
