Plausible…

I took my mother to the grocery store last night and was planning to walk around with her in there, but this guy REEKED of it. My nose was already full of pressure from…I dunno, allergies? Barometric pressure? (I seriously don’t know)…so the stench on top of that made me go sit in the car. Yay.

Does anyone remember who their most watched director and actor were from year to year? Mine were…

2015
Director: Akira Kurosawa
Actor: Charles McGraw

2016
Director: Akira Kurosawa
Actor: James Cagney

2017
Director: Akira Kurosawa
Actor: Wallace Beery

Wasn’t trying for a Kurosawa hat trick, it just sort of happened. 😉

Sorry the experience changed for you. Reminds me of the Buckethead forum buckethead.tk. I used to love that place, and there was a strong core group, but then his song “Jordan” was featured on Guitar Hero 2 and suddenly there was a massive influx of new fans coming to the forum and acting like they knew everything about him, many very young and immature. I hung around for a while, but eventually, most of the old guard left.

I use Letterboxd mostly as a video diary, to review things, and find new things to watch. I look around a bit, and I know there’s a lot of nonsense, but I mostly keep to myself there, so the experience has been pleasant for me, by and large. Most interactions have been positive, but then that’s because I only engage with reviewers that don’t annoy me. Haha.

[Mielr said:]One thing that’s always bugged me about this song is that I never thought the singer was a very good match for MJF.
As imperfect as his singing voice is, I wish they’d given him a shot at singing it himself—with multiple takes I think they could have cobbled something passable together.

I agree! Even if it would’ve taken a week, it would’ve been worth it. 😉

When the droids enter the room, that whole time you can hear each of Greedo’s lines, in order.

I remember collecting the trading cards when the movie came out. There was this one specific card entitled ‘Beedo and a Jawa’ - where Beedo was clearly the Rodian.

Beedo is probably just how he pronounced Greedo when he was little. 😉

Yep, one of the laziest things they ever did. And then they did the same sort of thing in Rogue One! More than once! :p Even if it was tongue-in-cheekily done as an homage to the laziness of ROTJ, I still think it’s stupid.

Even if it’s just a disc extra

Yes, nice idea. I sort of anticipate a nice collection of unused clips anyway, like we had as progress continued on AHR:R and ESB:R. (even just tests or ideas, like the I-still-wish-he-had-gone-through-with-it-to-some-extent green AT-AT lasers, haha)

It’s a real shame about PT:R. These were the revisited projects I was most looking forward to.

Same here, to an extent. I was looking forward to a radically different version. No one has gone far enough with them yet.

I’m aware of Ady’s plans for Boba Fett, but I will state my preference for him not being in the movie at all, then move on.

I feel the same way. He would’ve been far cooler as the mystery man in ESB that we never see again.

I asked and Ady is going to share what his plans were for the prequels sometime in the future. We’ll have a record of what could have been, or rather, what he imagined could have been.

Good to know. I’m sure some will review what he says and start a feasibility list, if you will. 😉 Someone may just create the best PT edits to date because of it. (I’m still waiting for someone to do a big sound effects overhaul on them. It’s an area that has been almost untouched so far, but has always been one of my biggest gripes!)

“Re-rotoscope the lightsabers”

In a way, this one intrigues me the most from the initial list. They went NUTS with the brightness and such, especially on Luke’s, in some scenes and I’m looking forward to seeing them at a more normal size. (and such) 😃

Looking forward to following the progress and maybe making some suggestions! Oh, and as with the first two, I’ll be sure and help a bit on the monetary end as well.

Rikter's Guide: How to burn a DVD with a DVD-rom folder (or other folders)
Time

I love how I can’t get notified on most threads I want to follow to save my life, but the one that gets bumped after five years? Immediately! :p

Anyway, Swift, if the answers aren’t in the thread, with ImgBurn, you should be able to just set things up for normal DVD burning (iso, VOB, whatever), then just add whatever extras you want using the ‘browse for a file/folder’ button. Of course, I haven’t done this for a long time, so if I’m wrong, hopefully someone will clarify things.
